Writing Starry Nights over Knossos awakened some sort of beast in me.. I can only hope I can actually get myself to finish these
The one that has the most "fleshed out" so far is Princess Cadence for Prez. I don't want to say too much yet but this one is being written because I love the implications of pony monarchism. it takes "divine right of kings" to an whole new level. why do you need a KING to rule over a KINGDOM when you have the DIVINE right there?
I also didn't even think about how the Crystal Empire is being ruled by a foreign princess installed by the local region's powerhouse until recently. isnt that crazy? if you only take what the show has to say at face value without doing any headcanoning or consulting the comics, then cadence is basically a royal nepo baby and also kind of a benevolent despot. ofc im making it sound worse than it is, but just food for thought that's inspiring For Prez
