Bayonetta 3 (Spoiler) · 7:14pm Jul 23rd, 2023
So, I finally played and finished Bayonetta 3 and... I guess that I will be forced to do all that sh** with the homunculi. The reason? Everybody dies! No, seriously. Bayonetta from the first game is dead, her world destroyed, seemingly remaining destroyed after the end (or not? I mean, Bayonetta 3's New York is rebuilt at the end as if everything has been reset, so I'm not sure). Bayonetta from the second game is also dead, her world also destroyed. And the Bayonetta of this game dies at the end (and Jeanne and Luka die too). So yeah, no way to have Sweetie encounter any of the three Bayonetta after the events of this game. I had hoped to avoid the homunculi because this will be a pain to write, but no choice.
Edit: After looking at the Wiki, it turns out that, finally, Bayonetta 1, 2, and 3 didn't happen in different universes, but in the same one. It just so happens that the two Bayonetta that help us in the final battle are variants looking like the Bayonetta from the first game and from the second game.
I havent play those games but at least by what are you saying imply that all games happen in there own separated timelines?
I wonder where that leaves the story of the prequel....

Yep. This game reveals that each Bayonetta happens in a different universe, and sadly, the universes from Bayonetta 1 and 2 are destroyed some time after their ends.

Uh. After looking at the Wiki, it turns out that the three games finally happen in the same universe. The two Bayonetta that help us in the final battle are just variants looking like the Bayonetta from the first and second games. It doesn't change much in the end however. Bayonetta still dies at the end, so I will still have to make Sweetie meet her before or during the events of Bayonetta 3.
Yikes! I do not envy you right now. It sounds like this is going to be a huge challenge for you.

Yeah... I almost want to ask someone else to write this part for me. Thankfully, it won't be before some time.
.... I'm almost tempted to try my hand at writing it, but I'm not sure I can capture the same energy.
Well, also it's gonna be a while, so you time to figure it out.
