Hey, everypony. I just want to sincerely apologize for what happened yesterday as I know all your hopes must’ve been dashed when you checked my page and didn’t see my video. So I released part of the video yesterday. And it got copyright blocked. Sorry if you all were so excited for Part 1 to release. I did it as promised, but that stupid bot algorithm blocked it worldwide.
Honestly, I-… Sigh Well, that’s it. I’m taking all release dates off of the calendar until the whole thing is completed. I’m still going to release it, but it will be as a completed version. I’d rather not have to deal with copyright issues every time a part gets uploaded. You all deserve better than this.
The video’s still in production, don’t worry. And I’m very happy with what I have so far. But I’m not setting any release dates until it is up and set in premiere format.

Never a problem. This sort of situation is why I've never moved into making videos on YouTube; it's way too easy for big companies to abuse copyright law (based on the preview you uploaded a little while back your video falls firmly within the privisions of the Fair Use clause).
I think the copyright law has been pushed way too far these days.

Yeah, it does. And funny enough, it was that part of the video in particular that got claimed and resulted in the whole thing being blocked. So I don’t know what’s going on there. Honestly, I’m with you 100% on that. But someone’s gotta bite the bullet as a lot of G5 hate exists on YouTube and it’s escalated to the point where pony creators are allowed to spread misinformation and conspiracy theories about this iteration to their audience.
I gotta keep trying though as if I don’t take the first step to show the fandom a better way, then no one will. As frustrating as it is, you just gotta get back up on the horse and keep fighting.

Oh most definitely. It’s been well-documented that the YouTube copyright system is utterly and pathetically broken, easy to exploit by either bad actors or out of touch corporations. And so far, no one has done anything about it. Nonetheless, I’m still pushing forward as I’ve invested too much of my time into this project to Batgirl it. You all deserve to see this video, so I’m not giving up.
Oofff! I never uploaded to YouTube, but I’ve seen creators express their pain and irritation.

YouTube has been in decline for a long time, and by 2018 it had a user group on YouTube chats, a messaging system until August 2019 when the notice came that YouTube chats were going to be removed and from there we went to discord and over time. my group started to die between 2019 and 2020 and currently I am the only one that remains active. On YouTube I am no longer active and I switched to DeviantArt to continue translating My Little Pony comics that are in English and translate them into Spanish since as you know I am from Argentina. In Deviantart I translate comics, although my accent is different from other Spanish-speaking countries, I use a neutral and non-Argentine accent. If you're interested, I'll give you my Deviantart account so you can see the comics I translate.

Best of luck. I would suggest challenging it, but YT has a long history of siding with big corporations. It may require a lot of editing, but you'll get there, I know it.

Thanks. If it gets blocked the second time in completed form, then I will challenge it. My next solution is adding an overlay over the whole thing so the footage is unrecognizable to the copyright bot.

The Unlucky Tug used a similar trick when producing a video on the reboot of Thomas and Friends, as Mattel kept dumping false copyright claims on his video (in which is believed to be an effort to silence criticism).

Funny you should mention Thomas the Tank Engine. It was people on YouTube comparing the personalities of the original seven engines to those of the Mane Six that lead me to watch FIM in the first place.

I exist in both fandoms as well. The two shows blend surprisingly well as they contain similar themes. And whereas G5 is an example of how to succesfully reboot a franchise, All Engines Go... isn't.
