Notes from Unfinished Stories and Opportunity

    Dear Bronies and Pegasisters,

I know I have been quiet for the past several months, but in case you didn't know, allow me to explain.

I've decided that since I have twelve stories that are still unfinished, I'm going to re-read them to see how to plan them out. And while I was reading and making notes, I've come to a realization. Something to give you, the reader, a unique opportunity.

    Plans Going Forward

    Dear Bronies and Pegasisters,

Before anyone out there get any ideas that, "Hey, Cracked, I have an idea for a story, do you take up requests?" Or if any of you beg for a sequel from any of the more recent stories, I'm gonna have to do something that I never thought I would say here.

    No.

Dear Bronies and Pegasisters,

As of yesterday, it is my 9th year on this site, and as with my own tradition, I'm here to give to you readers my progress and what I hope for the near future.

Today (as of July 3rd) I have reached a milestone - over a hundred stories posted. Something I could never inversion when I first started out that I would write so many based on Friendship is Magic. I have so far written 2, 393, 415 words. Of these, 2 are Incomplete; 9 are Hiatus; 1 are Canceled; 91 are Completed. Of these, 32 are Everyone, 61 are Teen, and 10 are Mature. A total of 103 stories.

I realize that in terms of writing, I haven't done a lot. Truthfully, there are a few reasons for this. For personal, my little brother had recently not only graduated, but he has gotten a job in the National Park Service and has moved to the East Coast. With him gone, that means I had to take up more slack than ever just so that things run more or less smoothly. Not only that, but recently I have turned thirty, so I have been coming to grips that I'm getting Old with a capital O. I had joked that I should have spent my birthday with a fake beard, a pink robe, slippers, a cane, and screaming at kids "Get off my lawn!" But... I figured I need to be at least 36 to do that.

Not to say that I have been lazy. I have so far two people on two separate projects with a third trying to get me into a third project. Just be aware that I have been working on an AU Helluva Boss fanfic series, along with juggling other stories. So at most, I have only a few days a week to even focus on my own work - if I have the energy to do so. Since I've been taking on more stuff as of late, I have found it harder to work on my stories as sometimes since those on Discord have been wanting to take hour-long talks to me. Now on this, please let me be clear here - I don't mind talking to you about whatever you want. I don't mind that you come to me with this or that idea of what would make a good story. But please, please be aware that for every conversation you want to have, is a chapter lost for me. Now that doesn't mean that I don't want to talk to anyone anymore - of course not. But if I may ask unless I'm actually working on a story with you, just ask me if I'm planning on writing in the evening. If I say I am, just say that you want to talk to me later, and I promise that I will respond at the soonest possible time.

In other news, for those who are waiting on the... latest Thorax story, don't worry, that's my top priority I plan on trying to finish this month, and then return to the latest Inverno story. With the latter, while I don't plan on it to be too long, I am determined to see that finish.

For Halloween, I have been sketching in my head what to bring for the spooky season. I would like to announce, that I want to do a sequel to a certain story - A Silent Film. For a while, I had been trying to figure out if there was anything that I could probably explore since it is still one of my more popular dark stories of mine. And think I might have an idea of what happens next. So by the time October rolls around, keep an eye out for an upcoming story. A Slinet Film: Cold Case.

I hope for next year that I will continue on to write even more stories about our favorite colorful ponies in the magical land of Equestria. See you all next year for my tenth anniversary!

Signed, Your Fellow Writer,
