MLP:FiM Fan Fiction: Stories That Moved Me

I have been thinking of making this list for a while. There are stories that made me laugh out loud and some that made me cry ugly. Others made me think or introduced me to other view points. Here, I am listing the stories that moved me to tears.

Here they are in no particular order:

1) Wanderlust by Captain Wuzz.
This is a Fluttercord story about Discord going on a "vacation" to get his chaos out. In reality, he is running from his budding relationship with Fluttershy because he is convinced he is no good for her. Very moving and well drawn out character development.

2) The Colour You Bleed by Kegisak.
This is a story about Prince Blueblood. In this tale, the arrogant prince is kidnapped by a foreign power and loses his horn. He manages to escape his captors only to be enslaved and forced to work as an Earth pony. The story relates how he comes to realize his sins against his fellow ponies and how he must work for forgiveness.

3) Transcend by Anonymous Pegasus
This is a reformed Chrysalis tale. This story takes place after the failed invasion of Canterlot. Chrysalis finds herself flung into a forest not far from Ponyville where she is taken in by a kind but sensible stallion who introduces her to his simple rustic life. It is a romance. The story has tragedy but also happiness.

4) Pull Me Through by Feather Gem
A Fluttercord story about death. Fluttershy and the other mortal members of the Main Six have passed away. Discord mourns her, waiting for a sign that there is life after death. When he receives a sign, he is determined to follow her into the next world. A story of love and forgiveness.

5) Walk Where There is No Path by theOwtcast
This is the first in a series about Thorax's search for a different life. Thorax tells his story about being an abused drone who risks his life to leave the hive and look for friendship. It is harrowing and heartbreaking but somehow he keeps going.

6) The Odd One by theOwtcast
This is the next story about Thorax. It relates the untold story about how everything really went after Spike's intervention and Thorax's acceptance into the Crystal Empire. Despite living in relative safety, the changeling has been conditioned to fear making mistakes or asking questions. With the help of Sunburst and Cadance he slowly grows beyond his trauma to envision a better life for Changelings.

7) Brushed Away by V Claw
Part one of a three part series (with one-shots and side stories) This story contains homosexual shipping. A love affair starts between an Earth Pony artist and a griffon working for the Weather Team in Cloudsdale. The stories are full of humor, romance and heartbreak.

8) Integration by Raugos
This is a story about Caramel. Caramel has fallen in love with a Changeling. He loves her so much, he is willing to give up everything and become a Changeling too. Chrysalis is not a reformed villain in this, but just a Queen who takes care of her people and is willing to fight for them.

9) See You Again by taterforlife
This is a Fluttercord story. When Discord was young, long before he discovered his full powers, he was attacked by ponies who wished to hurt him. A butterfly with pink wings tries to come to his rescue but is killed. Many centuries later, Discord realizes that butterfly was an earlier incarnation of his Fluttershy! Having just lost Fluttershy, this revelation gives him and Twilight hope they will meet their friend again.

10) Buggy and the Beast by Georg
This story takes place after the failed invasion of Canterlot. A rough unicorn stallion who works the docks comes across a wounded Changeling and takes her into his home to recuperate. The feisty female upends his life, pushing him to take care of himself and allow himself to feel love again. Funny and beautiful.
