Chapter 33 + random thoughts · 10:12pm Jun 20th, 2023
So here we are at the end. When I first started writing fics back in 2000 (yeesh) I never thought I'd finish a story. I had lofty ideas and concepts and just never finished up on them. End will be the first I ever finish that's not a one shot. Feels... strange. Not bad per se, but strange.
I hope I did Cadance justice here. I love her so much and I just don't feel like she gets the recognition she deserves. This of course, comes from her potential and not the show's writing. She's gone through so many dynamic changes in this story as far as what I wanted her to do, but... I think this is best for her. Somehow up to this point Celestia and Luna have taken a back seat to the others and I'm fine with that. I think up to now the sister's have come out looking strong so that's good.
Random thoughts. Go eff yourself G5. Seriously, you're trying now to vilify the sister's even more AND trying to retcon crap Opaline into G4? Nah guys, you're out. G5 will never be canon for me, sorry, not sorry.
And now there's speculation that Starlight will somehow influence or be part of the next part? Geez you're really just trying to ruin all of the past aren't you... terrible.
Welp on the horizon End is over soon. TPWC : 3 will be coming soon as well. My next BIG story will be coming too. It's already at 15 chapters so yeah. Lots of stuff coming. I also have a Halloween story. Oh and I want to enter that 1000 word contest so I'll see where that goes.

Too true, though I think if they would've just ignored bringing so much G4 stuff in it would've been fine. It's not like I dislike the new mane 6 or anything, it's just their insistence on bringing up the past or even their attempt at making it connect annoys me to no ends. That and like I said retcons.

That's like asking which of my children are my favorite lol.
This entire thing was to make the Sister's stronger, but I think someone else may have taken the spotlight.
The three I really liked in changing order are...
Cadance: I feel like she's so great. She does her best and isn't as strong as the others, but she doesn't let that sway her in any way. She lost everything much like Twilight, but she remained strong (with a little help from Flurry). I really do love her.
Twilight: just the most dynamic and best arc I think. She went up and down. Psycho and remorseful. Fall and redemption (to a degree). Really hits both sides of the spectrum imo.
Kis: Just really fun to write and was in the story a lot longer than it seems as she's in control of Twilight and influencing her since chapter 3. I like villains that turn good, they're my favorite.

It's a really great feeling when a character takes on their own life. I'm glad that happened for you--three times! It must have been a very difficult and rewarding writing process.

It was... is lol. I find it quite interesting when I accidently motivate myself to like a character more. Especially with ocs considering how hard they are to actually like.
