New Story for Mother's Day · 10:11pm May 15th, 2023
Greetings to anyone reading this blog,
As the title says, I have published a fic in honour for Mother's Day. Yes, this blog post is roughly 22 hours late compared to the publish of the fic, and Mother's Day was yesterday, but anyway, I'm wishing a belated Mother's Day!
First of all, I wanted to thank you for the support this fic got, with it reaching even the featured page
Sometimes, getting featured isn't hard, as no new stories have been published, but I expected it to be tougher with some big authors having published theirs and a wave of new fics having been published too, so this time, seeing it keeping up at being featured (even at seventh place), the thanks are noteworthy
As for a little behind the pen (because why not) this idea came rather in short notice. When I said in my One Year Anniversary post that I had many Trixie fics planned, this wasn't one of it. I basically brainstormed a few days what to write for Mother's Day, until I finally got an idea. Problem: In my timezone, it was late at night Saturday, so it meant I would start writing and would continue writing this fic during Mother's Day.
Basically, I somehow managed to write this fic in roughly 24 hours, and it was a Monday 1:30 AM in my timezone when it got published. It was a time pressure and I basically took every free time I had to write, but I somehow managed to do it. 2.8k words are a lot for me, so it was basically speedwriting during this day.
But I'm still proud what this fic has turned out. It's a simple story, but I wanted it to be one.
So what do we learn: If you want to make something, just do it one day before the deadline and spend all day stressing to get it finished
Actually, don't. It's better do to anything in advance
