    Making a change

Hello everyone. It's been a while since I put something on my blog, so I decided that now's a good time. A fellow writer came to me in my DMs with criticism of my main story, To Equestria And Beyond. They pointed out a lot of errors and mistakes that I've made over the years, including how shattered the early chapters are and how rushed they were. To be fair, when I posted the first few chapters

    I've Almost Done It!

After 3.5 years of proofreading, lore building, drafts and finding a friend to do it all with, I'm happy to say that To Equestria and Beyond is almost at the 50 chapter mark! It's been a long run so far, but it don't intend on slowing down. Go check it out and see what you think!

Ennie Meenie Minnie Mo, Of Which Story Shall Start To Grow?

Hello everyone, I have a question to ask. I have a lot of unfinished stories and I can't seem to come up with which one I'd like to continue, so I decided to ask the readers of my stories to help me solve this problem. I know, you may think that I should go with my heart and continue the one that I enjoy making the most, but I'd also like an outside opinion on what the readers most enjoyed

    Am I A Good Writer?

I've been racking my brains for the past couple weeks and I've had a few thoughts about my writing coming to me. I know that popularity takes time and I may just be a little impatient, but I can't shake the feeling that I may be out of touch with how things go down on Fimfiction. Just recently, I added a few new chapters on my story To Equestria And Beyond and I feel really proud of what I've

    Questioning A Story Concept

Hello everyone, I was thinking of new story ideas for the past few weeks when I got an idea that struck me How would you feel about a "Fantastic Voyage" type fanfic? For those who don't know, Long story short, the "Fantastic Voyage" trope is a commonly used episode idea for cartoons that was mostly used in the early 90s and throughout the 2000s. The idea is that when a character who is

Am I A Good Writer? · 2:35am Apr 11th, 2023

I've been racking my brains for the past couple weeks and I've had a few thoughts about my writing coming to me. I know that popularity takes time and I may just be a little impatient, but I can't shake the feeling that I may be out of touch with how things go down on Fimfiction. Just recently, I added a few new chapters on my story To Equestria And Beyond and I feel really proud of what I've done so far. But recently, I can't help but think that I may not be as good as I think. As of last week, I've been looking over my stories and my two most popular stories are Luna's Bad Day (My first attempt at a one shot), and Princess Pregnancy (My first true M rated story). From what I've seen, those stories have one thing in common, no overarching storyline or lore whatsoever. And they seem to be doing much better. Maybe it has to do with certain demographics or maybe it's just a matter of quality and promotion, but I just can't stop thinking that I may be out of the long run when it comes to my longer main story. I could honestly use some help with this constant bug in my brain. Could I be a good writer or am I just so inconsistent with my work that my viewership and like ratios are a result of lack of skill?

R u a good writer... yes

Am I a good writer... no...

But do people like what I write yes and no...

I made horror and clop fictions, but they were mature stories which they did decently, but when I made a T fiction I see that I hit the bingo.... but not as much as I wanted to waste 2 years of that fiction. Which is sad because I spent 2 years on it... Which is Clown Mare.

To get that popular you have to complete your fiction with no cancellations...

You write tv show cannon which I write toy cannon. (toy cannon is like making your own story with oc... a lot of them... but I think you wrote some.)

In my mature fictions, I had not a lot of characters... in my T fiction, I had a lot of characters. (maybe a lot of characters from g2. However, G2 had a lot of Prince and Princesses which kind of did super well.)

You have 3 incomplete stories and 1 hiatus... however for me, that is... I made 9 complete stories and 1 that I'm working on which is on hiatus.

I did every music for my horror stories so far besides the new one. I did the spin-off art design... then I did cover art for my clop fictions... My own art... and then I made art for the clown mare... which is done by me and me alone.

You are a Writer. But you want fame and glory.

I'm a Writer, artist, musician, blog, review people's stories, and am determined. But I'm not in it for the fame... I'm doing it because no one will remember me when I die.

That's the difference between you and me.

And even then I'm still not popular. (I never knew that my spin-off did better than my main story it actually surprised me a lot... First main three I have been working hard to correct and fix over the years as I improved my writing as well by fixing it and making sure I didn't screw up.)

My suggestion is; That's my experience to compare notes and stories and with good luck.

Even though I haven't read your other stuff I think you're good. In my opinion the way to tell if you're good simple are people wondering what going to happen next? Are they wondering why a character in the story isn't doing something that from their point of view they should be doing . Are they commenting on the characters. Are there few if any complaints? Then congratulations you're good. If you get plenty of views but hardly a comment which is rare then you are excellent at this story. I read a bunch of stories and most of fall under good while being written I've only seen one that rates excellent. Just keep up the good work and don't make your fans wait till next year to finish.

I haven't read any of your content, so I cannot comment on this much. However, you seem quite open minded. I can tell you that I often question my skill too. The best thing you can do, I think, is to keep going, regardless of what you or anyone else thinks. Listen to criticisms (when given) but don't let them drag you down (difficult, I know.) If you keep up with a story, even if you feel it is failing, you can still use it as practice to prepare yourself for writing an even better story next time. (Just don't force yourself to stick to one particular story if you feel yourself losing interest or inspiration in it and writing becomes more of a chore.)

I will have a look at your stuff now and see what I can comment further on.
Not much here that falls into my particular interest range.
Huh, I remember seeing the description from the story "Tickle Tag" in a previous blog post. I'll read that one since I remember previous mention of it.
