My thoughts on The Owl House Finale and the show in its entirety. · 6:42pm Apr 9th, 2023
Just a heads up, for anyone who is reading this, you are about to hear spoilers regarding the Disney channel tv show Owl House and its series finale. So if you are an Owl House fan and don't want to get spoiled or are simply not interested in reading this blog in particular, I recommend leaving now as I will be sharing my overall thoughts on the show entirely and the show's ending.
...
Still, here? Alright then, let's get started.
I almost didn't feel like staying up late into the night to watch the series finale as I had a busy day at work yesterday while also dealing with the fact I'm gaining feelings for a girl I met where I work. I won't go into detail as it's personal, so instead, I'm gonna get back to talking about TOH. I did end up staying up to watch the finale and even watched a Thomas & Friends movie to keep myself up, which somewhat worked, though I wish I decided on a better Thomas film as the one I choose I kinda forgot why I didn't like it that much. Right away, after watching the hour-long series finale of Owl House I could tell the ending was rushed. I did enjoy it, but it wasn’t 100% how I thought it would be. I mean, I’m glad Luz now has a way to go back to the Demon Realm whenever she wants, but I was expecting she’d return to the Human Realm to continue focusing on her future. Originally, I wanted to see her stay in the Demon Realm and continue her relationship with Amity as they’ve become my favorite tv show ship since I got into TOH nearly 2 months ago. Still, I did enjoy the finale. But I’d likely rate the ending a 7/10. I do think Luz would’ve likely returned to the Demon Realm after college as the show ends with her getting ready for it, I could see her moving there once she completes college so she can live there and start a family with Amity. I mean, from what I saw in the ending they still were showing signs of love and affection. This is easy to tell by the fact in the last few minutes Luz was wearing the necklace Amity worth throughout Season 2 after she dyed her hair purple. Overall, despite the rush, I enjoyed the ending, while it wasn't how many of us fans expected it would turn out, I thank Dana Terrance the creator of the show, and her crew for working very hard on this show and its finale, even if Disney canceled it and had Season 3 shorten. I'm glad I got to be a part of this when it lasted as Owl House is now my favorite show made by Disney and one of the best tv shows I've seen in years! Now I got 2 more tv show finals to watch that TOH is over and both of these shows are gonna be over within the next month. The first is an HBO Max DC tv show called Titans, which is a live-action version/take on the Teen Titans, but without Cyborg, and an 80s-themed sitcom called The Goldbergs that's based on true events on the real family under the same name, with a few changes. I hope those who have gotten to this end enjoyed my overall thoughts on Owl House and its finale. It still feels weird that when I got into this show very late into its air is kinda like what happened back in 2021 when I got into the Cartoon Network show Infinity Train 3 months before its cancelation. But unlike Infinity Train, which got canceled and had no proper ending, the people behind TOH were able to use this time to make the ending as great as it can be even if the time they lost with the show and its unfortunate end. But at the end of the day, it's gotten my approval as one of the best Disney original tvs shows out there. Until next time, I'm ScisetShimmerEvan, signing off, and yes I'm back to that name again.
Disney SUCKS. This show was so successful and good, but then cancelled it because it doesn't fit 'THEIR BRAND'
Then why was it made and aired in the first place

They did regret their decision later but sadly its too late as not only has the show's finale been complete and now aired but its creator Dana Terrance has left Disney itself. I don't blame her for leaving as Disney is still to blame for it but knowing she still put her all with how short Season 3 turned out to be, is what matters in the end.
Update: Thx to a friend of mine via discord I learned a few things I didn't seem to realize when watching the finale as I ended up watching it a second time and managed to figure out a few things that I didn't understand. Like for example Luz did end up moving to the Demon Realm to do college there and even continue her relationship with Amity.

Dana Terrance deserves to work somewhere else than at Disney.
How the greatest animation studio to have ever existed has fallen

Still, she did well and gave us the ending we all wanted to see.

It was supposed to be way more darker but the a-holes up there decided to tone it down a little bit before finally cancelling the 3rd season

At least they still managed to surprise us and did well even if it got cancelled/shorten to 3 special episodes.
