Question of the Week #99 · 2:32am Mar 28th, 2023
Hello everyone and welcome back to the question of the week. We're almost in the triple digits, that's pretty cool.
Admittedly, I have a bit of a headcold, so it's been difficult thinking of a question for the day.
Thankfully, I will be taking some time off this week, which will allow for some healing and more writing for my story, Neo Somnambula: Guns and Lotuses.
Thus, I'm looking for more inspiration for my Neo Somnambula story, so I guess the question I'll ask is...
What is your favorite cyberpunk themed game? And why?
I'm curious to see all your answers.
Thank you all for coming on by. May you all stay safe and have a magnificent week.
The below image, might be considered a bit suggestive, so I decided to spoiler it, just to be safe.

I'm not sure if these would count as cyberpunk, but I'm pretty fond of the art styles of Destiny 2, DOOM 2016, and DOOM Eternal. All three have an interesting "technology in disrepair" aesthetic in places.
Game? Well, it is hard to pick one since most games that got onto my radar are usually more Sci-fi rather than punk-esque.
The closes I could get is all those hacker games like: Uplink (on steam), Watchdogs (the existential threat of an always online life), and Cyberpunk 2077 itself.
As for Sci-fi, we could explore the human psyche with Dead Space, the moral dilemma of choice in Prey (and it's other dilemma of "are we alone"), and the ever threat of total surveillence in Mirror's Edge (specifically the first game).
Oh yes, and Bioshock too. From moral dilemmas to time warpping.
cyberpunk 2077. The people just hate it because they do not understand how physics works 55 years in the future.
5720170 I actually really like Cyberpunk 2077, I just wish 2 things: 1) That they would do more than one expansion. 2) that they'd take a note from Skyrim SE and Fallout 4, and make mods avaible to console players.
Never played a Cyberpunk-themed game. Suggestions?
5720232 Well, I'd definitely suggest Cyberpunk 2077 now that most of its bugs have been fixed, though I'd also recommend watching the anime, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners before playing it as well.
I played the Ascent a while back and I really need to get back to playing it. It's a little bit more alien/scifi than your usual Cyberpunk genre game, but it fits the mold pretty well.
