    Hello again... and apologies....

    Hey everyone...

I know it has been a while since I have posted anything or continued with my story...

I do not offer this as an excuse, simply an explanation.

    I'm still here!

    Hey all

Just thought I'd give you a quick update since I haven't posted a new chapter in a while.

I am still working on Allegiances, I swear! I wouldn't just leave Dust and Co at this point in their tale.

My First Blog Post: Thanks, and an unfortunate delay

This is something new for me, so please bear with me on this. I never imagined one day that I would be addressing a group that enjoyed something I created. And forgive me for the length.

First of all, I want to say thanks to a whole bunch of people.

Hello again... and apologies.... · 2:08am Mar 27th, 2023

Hey everyone...

I know it has been a while since I have posted anything or continued with my story...

I do not offer this as an excuse, simply an explanation.

In January 2021, I began a Masters Degree program. Due to COVID, I took it on a remote basis, and it was an accelerated program (we took two classes per semester, Spring, Summer, and Fall. As part of the tradeoff of being remote, the professors had us writing papers that took the place of class discussions. This was in addition to the normally assigned papers and keystone assignments. I found myself writing graduate work for multiple hours a night, 5-6 days a week. Once I finished one paper, another felt like it was waiting to be done also. I looked at all my work and I wrote over 2000 pages of graduate level work, including a thesis. This type of writing sapped the creativity and desire to write out of me. As such, and as you've noticed, Dust and company fell off the face of the Equestrian Wasteland. For what it's worth, I apologize for that.

However, I never forgot about it. It nagged at me that I left the story where it was. I want to finish the story.... in fact, I feel I need to finish the story (I don't like leaving things undone)

Well, there is good news. I finished my degree in December and all the other necessary requirements for the certifications I was working towards (some standardized testing and paperwork, including written case studies, with the state) just recently. As of the writing of this blog post, I haven't had to write anything for over two weeks (lol). I am also feeling the desire to write slowly returning.

However, there is a little bad news. As you can imagine, I have forgotten a lot of the small details from the story. I remember the major plot points and things like that, and I have my plot outline, but if I continued writing now, I don't think I would do the story justice. As such, I have decided that I need to reread my completed work before I can continue. I hope to finish this quickly and then finish the tale of Dust Cloud.

Again, I apologize for disappearing off the face of the Earth. If you want to see the end of Dust's tale, please be patient. I want to continue as soon as I can.

Thank you for sticking with me and for those that followed the story or left kind comments.
