Where I've Been Recently · 4:51am Mar 7th, 2023
So life has been getting a bit harder again recently. I'm working longer hours and more days because things are getting harder on everyone, people aren't showing up and I'm not the kind of person that "quiet quits" or any of that bullshit. Not that I'd be able to get away with it anyway, but I'm also just not that kind of person. I do my best to be there for people, honor my commitments and I'm not going to take a sick day just because I want a day off or some shit. It works both ways, though, and if my job doesn't get me what I need, well I have to look to other means. Fortunately, my current employer seems to understand that I have needs most of the time. They're a good company, I won't get into details.
Cost of living has also gone up so I need the extra cash. I've also been working on some other things, like uploading videos to my YouTube channel. Those are for me, though. Things have just been pretty difficult lately, taking more time and energy but I'm surviving and I'm still writing.
Glad you're hanging in there. I'm not sure how much of this "quiet quitting" is just dumb journalists making up buzzwords to drive clicks though.

That's true, too. It's good to see you too, Howard, happy to still have you here. Like I've always said, folks could use fans like you. Fan sites, too. I've got the groundwork for a few things planned and yes, a few are Dan-related. A certain well-dressed reptile you may have seen around here knows a bit more. I'm just about ready to get started on them if things tomorrow go as planned.
One of the things that's happened is I've become more involved in the Galactic Starfighter community in SWTOR, the Star Wars MMORPG. I'm explaining this for anyone else who might be reading and not remember. Suffice to say, I'm involved within a dedicated community but I'm also cycling down my involvement with them as well. I recently re-subscribed to SWTOR but it's only temporary. Before the subscription runs out, I'm hoping to record and upload a few Operations; I like to watch my own videos on my breaks at work. You can only do Operations while subscribed to the game so, once it runs out the videos will be all that's left. Way of keeping them when it finally runs out, and I have backups.
Once that's completed, I'll be available to write more and be on here for some more fun and interesting stuff. Take care, my friend and see you then.

Thanks for the kind words! I'm playing through the LoTRO MMO myself, hoping to finish the main storyline before some awesome new games come out. I can get the appeal of wanting videos to reminisce, I enjoy looking back on some of my own comments from previous years. Sounds like Dan and Tux will be up to something soon, I can't wait.
