GTX 2070 prototype pics! · 6:55am Feb 10th, 2023
This particular GTX 2070 prototype is a very late sample, with the main (and possibly only) differences being that it has "GTX" instead of "RTX" on its cooling shroud and is missing the "RTX 2070" lettering on the black area between the fans. It's also got an earlier BIOS than retail cards which I've since backed up and uploaded using GPU-Z.
Other than these minor differences, however, it's pretty much a bog-standard RTX 2070 Founders Edition/reference card! The very last pic shows it playing the latest release of Minecraft with shaders on, which ended up showing me that the Core i5 2400 that I've been using in the test system is probably bottlenecking the card, especially when generating chunks. Still reaches a nice 69 fps though.
Yay, pictures!
Guess GPU-Z thinks it's an RTX, which probably just means it doesn't have any way of distinguishing the two. Or I suppose the bios could be reporting that it's an RTX...

wouldn't be surprised if the BIOS is reporting it as such given how close to retail the card appears to be.
