I have exactly one thing to say:
Why is this season so bloody good? I mean, it got off to a bit of a shaky start, but these last few episodes have been really good. Wonderbolt Academy is now standing proudly among Magic Duel on my list of favourite episodes. Great lesson, great character dynamics, and most importantly, a return of Horse Power with his characteristic (although at this point purely gratuitous) "YEAAAH!"
And now for some specific comments.
I'm looking right at you, Bronius. I honestly half-expected this pony to be named Firefly.
This thing made me queasy just looking at it. Too many unpleasant memories of spinning rides...
I feel your pain, Dashie. Wingpony's like... like... second trumpet! In The Planets suite!
Hmm... I see another Fun With Physics blog post in my near future. Also, a little note: based on some rough estimates I just did in my head, this situation seems plausible. Will Dashie probably have to fly at Warp 6 to achieve it? Probably.
Anyway, awesome episode. I have nothing further to say, so enjoy this GIF of a typical Canadian police chase.
I wish police chases were like that. Where I live, we've gotten absolutely NO snow at all, and I'd prefer if it snowed at least once.
Anyway, I also really liked this episode. Pretty much all of season three has been such high quality that every time I watch a new episode it instantly becomes one of my new favourites. Though, Spitfire's voice seems to have changed, and apparently she forgot about the time Rainbow Dash saved her life whilst doing a sonic rainboom, but, whatever. It's not like you have to be nice or anything.
heh, I found it interesting that dash and lightning's relationship developed opposite of how hers and Firefly's did.
