It sure has been a while. To those of you who care, I haven't abandoned my story. My extended absence can best be explained as health issues. I came down with an as-of-yet-unknown virus at the end of November after attending my uncle's funeral. I was sick in bed for two and a half weeks. I couldn't go to work, I couldn't write, I couldn't even watch TV. I've been working hard to make up for my lost income since then though I may have reached an even greater snag in my writing. That being I might be dying. During my check-up last week my doctor noticed what he described as "heart murmurs" when he checked me with his stethoscope. He told me I have a heart valve that won't close all the way. Fortunately, he says that based on the location it is "likely benign," but he set me up an appointment with a cardiologist to be safe and has told me that despite my being a young 23 I should take any chest pains I have extremely seriously for the time being.
On a less morbid note my laptop is very clearly starting to die on me and also just doesn't have the storage space I need. It's lasted a good 4 years but I've decided I need something with room for all my shit that doesn't sound like a jet engine the entire time I use it.
Assuming I don't die, (fingers crossed,) I plan to be back to my regular upload schedule starting next year and the next chapter will be released sometime in mid January.

If the laptop is just a storage space issue you might want to just switch to cloud storage or a USB hard drive to put your stuff on. Hope you’re heart valve issue isn’t too bad and that you’ll be back to writing soon.

If it were just the storage space, I'd have held off. It's been crashing more and more frequently, it constantly freezes, sounds like a jet engine, etc. . I bought a gaming laptop earlier today which I'm now using. Not only does it run better, but I have enough space for games I couldn't put on the last one. I had a thousand dollars more than I was expecting when I checked my bank account yesterday and it seemed like the right time to get a new laptop. I'm pretty happy with my decision. Thanks for worrying about the heart valve. I should know more about that by the end of the month. I plan to have the next chapter out sometime in mid-January.

Don’t worry until it has a name my Mom had a murmur and when they went to check on it they couldn’t find it anymore. Also, sounds like what happened to my previous computer. Not the crashing but the freezing, jet engine and things taking 5x longer than they should
