Greetings, everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic holiday season! Today, I am back with another movie review “Unstoppable”—fulfilling my final movie review request which was given by JimmyHook19. This film was quite an awesome treat as I watched this for the first time. And seeing that this film is based off of the real-life incident of CSX 8888 is honestly pretty interesting to know about. So does this movie hold up well? Is it watchable? Well, let’s take a look at Unstoppable (2010)!

This is about two men who desperately try to stop a train that continues to be in motion despite numerous attempts by a lot of other people to stop it. Will the unexpected efforts of the duo take control of the train and save everyone?

The acting is just phenomenal, and the emotional moments were well-executed as well. Denzel Washington and Chris Pine both did excellent performances as Frank and Will respectively. You can tell those men have been through a lot of shit and have no time to make a mistake when it comes to operating trains. So the moment they both worked together despite how different they both were from the other was great to see.

Also, it may not have been apparent in this film, but I can tell there were comedic moments that thankfully didn’t take away from the seriousness of the scenes. T.J Miller and Lew Temple played the funniest characters in the film in my opinion.

The cinematography, the editing, and the intensity of the action were all thrilling to watch. Perfect and well-done.

The only main issue I have with this is the constant use of the shaky camera. There was so much going on all at once, and it was really irritating seeing the camera violently shake during scenes I felt like I needed to see more clearly.

Other than that, it was really awesome to watch this for the first time. It encourages viewers such as you and me to never give up in helping others even if it may seem impossible at first glance. And for those of you who are into trains, this movie is definitely for you.

So yeah, I highly recommend this for you all to check out. I’ll give it a solid 10/10. Great, underrated film. May Tony Scott—who directed this final movie before his death in 2012–rest peacefully.

See y’all later!

I saw this movie once before with my family, and we all thought it was pretty great to watch.

Seeing this review makes me want to review it at some point, that's for sure.

Not only is this one of my personal faves, but it’s also a film that you can just watch over and over.

Which I have done.

Many times.

And for those of you who are into trains, this movie is definitely for you.

As a long time railfan myself, I obviously agree =3
