The New Commandments · 5:56pm Dec 14th, 2022
So, yeah. Some enviromental activist went unto the mountain to throw down the tablets. Love a bit of blasphemy in the morning. But for the sake of fairness, I shall offer said Commandments and my thoughts.
Ho boy
1. We are stewards of this world.
Bible already says that, more specifically we hold dominion over it, I believe. Not a commandment, just a statement.
2. Creation manifests divinity.
Wrong, Divinity, that is to say God, manifested Creation. Also, again, not a commandment, just pseudo intellectual goobledy gook.
3. Everything is interconnected.
Yeah... and? Again, a statement. Starting to see a theme here.
4. Do no harm.
This is a commandment, but again, nonsense. The reason the do no harm thing came into parlance was in response to western doctors being horrified at the actions of medicine in Germany, not as a catch all for life. Also thou shalt not kill means not to take a life without cause of immediate justification, IE to defends one self or in the defense of others, not you will not harm a single hair on all of creation.
5, Look after tomorrow.
Again, nonsensical jibber jabber. The here after takes care of itself.
6. Rise above ego for our world.
... they're smashing tablets on top of what is considered a holy site. Just let that stew in your minds for a tick.
7. Change our inner climate.
But climate is happening outside of us. What?
8. Repent and Return
This one I agree, though I may be thinking of Returning to Sender then whatever this lot is talking about.
9. Every action matters.
Again, a blanket statement that says nothing. Im certain someone somewhere whose job it is to dumb things down for water heads like could tell me, but I've neither time or inclination to seek them out.
10. Use mind, open heart.
I am, and you're word salad is giving me agida.
