Eleven’s run was heavily characterized by fate and predestination. It was the end of his regeneration cycle (as far as he knew). He was going to die at Lake Silencio. He was going to die on Trenzalore. He married the woman fated to kill him, whose death he had witnessed the first time they met. There’s a lot of stuff about fate, is all I’m saying.
