Two month's absence since last chapter · 10:24pm Nov 26th, 2022
FFS, time loves to fly a lot and loves to make days pass away faster than a goldfish's lifespan.
Either way, I may as well keep sending up posts and still make some form of activity, otherwise everyone might get concerned.
Yup, I'm still alive, and so far I've hit a pretty hard roadblock by the deadly trio in writing: Writer's Block, Writer's Fatigue, and a harsh case of "Telling, not Showing"
The Fatigue itself is more or less "I need to do something else, I can't treat this like a college essay." So while I'm occasionally putting in effort into the next chapter, I just need to either free write to clear up the fog, read ppls works and see their methods of writing, and simple time off.
Then comes the issue of how bad's my narrative becoming in using Tell narratives. And in a few days, my editor's pointed out just how bad it got. He's already made his effort and part into helping me fix the chapter, now its just up to me to make things make sense and not type like a playwright. Hence more reason I'm taking a lot of free time.
Gets real interesting when you free write and practice mimicking someone's method of show narratives.
TL;DR: Taking the time to explain why I'm in so much free time because I'm playwrighting more than novel writing, and lets all just hope and pray I don't end up taking more time off than almost a full year like I did with the first two prologues of The Rising.
Also making a few active kicks just to not be passed off as a corpse.
