Hello everyone!
So it's been a little over two years since I left the site. In that time, I've been working on original works with the hope that I'd become a published author someday. Well, that dream has come true! Of course, not with a big, established publisher like Penguin or Scholastic or whoever exists. I followed in the steps of my uncles and put my book up on Amazon as an independent publisher.
This is just the first of a massive list of stories I'm planning on writing, so big, in fact, that my current prediction is that I'll finish sometime in my fifties. Between Heaven and Earth is available both in ebook and paperback formats, with the link above being to the paperback. I don't read ebooks, so I can't give you the link directly to it, sorry. Should be up on the Amazon Kindle Store. The content of the book is a far cry from the innocent, cheerful vibes of My Little Pony; it's very adult and very dark. The lives of a group of college kids come to a violent, tragic end, only for their souls to live on in a bizarre afterlife created by two warring cosmic deities. Enslaved to beings beyond their understanding, they struggle to find new purpose in a world far removed from human society both physically and spiritually, segregated for an unknown purpose, all while the threat of being forced onto the front lines of a war using the souls of deceased humans as fodder hangs over them. Finding happiness in the afterlife requires a strong spirit, a strength needed to evolve one's humanity. Surviving in the afterlife requires a willingness to fight and a creative mind.
I don't pull any punches.
Hope you all are doing okay. I don't see myself dropping back in except to promote more original works, but it's good to see that the site hasn't torn itself asunder in my absence. I imagine there's been some integration of Gen 5 stuff. I'm not interested in checking it out. I actually have an idea in my head for an entire generation of MLP that I might or might not have touched on in a previous blog post. Who knows? Maybe if I become famous Hasbro will accept my idea if I pitch it?
