So... it looks like I'm gonna fall out of the Species Swap Contest.
I had an idea, one I think is good and solid, but my motivation to write it is at an all time low, and what I've done so far, while I like, I can't make it go anywhere; it's too mired in flashback and doesn't take full advantage of it's premise and relies on worldbuilding to carry an emotional throughline I don't don't think fully works. Not to mention my passion is being pulled in other directions right now; something had to give, and this was the weakest link. I feel the need to apologize to Nitro Indigo for this; their Roleswap contest last year was the thing that finally got me to post stories here, and I really wanted to have something for this one too... but it's not looking too hot. Unless another idea comes to me that I can pump out super fast... Yeah. Sorry.

Yeah, motivation vs actual time and energy to write is a hard balance. Take it easy on yourself.
