1644016 Since you're in the habit of giving people helpful advice about the site (which is great. Keep it up), I should explain something - moderators can transfer stories between accounts, which is a lot better than posting a brand new submission with the same content. All they need to do is have the original story owner PM any moderator authorizing it, with the name of the story to be transferred and the account it's supposed to go to. A couple clicks later, and the story has a new owner.

1643558 Which, coincidentally, is what I've just done here. Looks like you submitted a copy of the story through moderation, and while it was in the queue I was sent a PM by the original owner authorizing the transfer. I think I've sorted everything out, so the real original version should be visible on your account now. Best of luck with it.

As long as you have the permission of the author, then that is alright, but please keep in mind that posting other people's stories is always a big "No."

Scroll up to the top of your screen. Do you see your name between the "Groups" and "Settings" tab? Hover your mouse over your name. A new drop-down menu appears! It has a lot of your features and abilities on it. Hover your mouse over the one that says "Stories." Another pop-up menu appears. On this one, click the "New Story" tab.

The site will now take you to a page where you set up the story. It will ask you to name the story, select its genre, label the characters who appear in it, and give a short description and a long description. You may also choose an image for your story. When you've done all this, hit the green "Create Story" button at the bottom of the page. You will be taken immediately to the story's page which was just created. You can leave it blank for now and come back to it later, or begin creating your story right away.

To add text, look above the title of the story on its page you just created. There you will see a tab labeled "New Chapter." It doesn't matter if your story is going to have multiple chapters or is just a one-shot... this is where you start. When you click the tab, a pop-up screen will ask you to give the chapter a name, or if you want it written "dynamically" (meaning the site will just label each chapter "Chapter 1, Chapter 2 and so on. You can always change this later.) When you are ready, hit the green "Create Chapter" button on the bottom of the screen. Tada! You now a have a nice, blank sheet of computer screen in front of you upon which you can copy/paste your story from a word processor, upload it from Google Docs (be sure that the GDoc is public), or even type it then and there! Save your progress by using the disk at the top of the screen.

Now, the part that confuses most folks is "Making Public" versus "Submitting." On the main story screen (the first one you created) there is a red dot next to each chapter. If you click it, you can turn it green. That means that people who know about this story can see the writing in that chapter... but only if you send them links to it and such or post a blog about it! The story hasn't been submitted to the site yet! That means it hasn't passed moderation. To do that, you must hit the "Submit" button at the top of the story page, and the Moderators will look at it as soon as it as soon as they can.

I know this probably sounds confusing, but it becomes quite intuitive once you've done it a few times. I hope this message has helped and I wish you the best of luck in the future with your stories.

Do me a favor? If you want to "talk" to someone, the only way to be sure that they get the message is by hitting the "Reply" button on the message that you want to comment on. It is the little box in the top-right of each comment. It looks like two little arrows: ">>" If you hit that, it sends a notification to the person who made the original comment, letting them know you are trying to have a conversation with them. I'm glad that I stopped back, or I would not have gotten your message!
