After a string of kidnappings around Ponyville, Twilight Sparkle is determined to locate the perpetrator. However, she soon realises that echos from her past have been caught up in this affair and even she might not be able to control them.

Despite warnings from Celestia, Twilight cannot simply watch for much longer. The disappearances begin to increase in frequency, and the somber mood appears to be affecting both her and her friends.

As she continues to unravel this mystery, she discovers a new form of power. A power believed to have been a myth by even the wisest and most knowledgeable unicorns. A power that even the magic of friendship might not be able to stop.
