Well, I'm certainly grateful for everyone who posted their own thoughts and ideas in the previous blog post about the things in cartoons that people seem to forget did NOT corrupt or mess up kids. I need people to tell me cartoons they watched (cartoons, NOT anime) from years before now, and I want to come up with a list of topics they touched on that seemed a bit dark for a "cartoon". This all somewhat stems from the flak Steven Universe has gotten for it's apparent "lesbian tendencies", even though the character only appear as women and are actually gender-less non-organic aliens. I haven't been all that active on this site for a bit now, or in my writing in general. I would place the cause of that on my summer job (a zoo), but then again, it's mostly me. I'm just so tired most days that I find it hard to try and muster the energy to write much of anything, seeing as I have plenty to do at home as well as at work. That, and I'm almost always distracted with other things when I do have free time (like Youtube), that... I don't know, it just feels hard, all right?

Okay, so, anyways, I graduated college (finally), and am working now for a zoo for the summer. However, the shifts are lengthy (I'm fine with that), and so that means I'm not able to write near as much as I had originally planned, or at least, not until I'm used to my scheduling.

Not to me, of course: to our family's dog! Strange, to think she just turned 9, and yet I can't really remember what life was like before she came into our lives. Her name is Lucy, by the way: here's a recent picture.

Also, the next chapter of ADJ is nearly ready: just needs a bit more "stuff" to top it off.

Time to listen to this while I study. It's also great to listen to when you're writing.
