I suppose I only get a notification when someone else replies to me or writes on my user page. It'd be really... pointless getting a notification that I replied to myself. For that matter, it'd be a really pointless getting a (or even two) notification(s) that I replied to myself on my own user page.

Of course I got a notification right now that you commented on my user page. Nevertheless, when you replied on my user page before (#271062, #271899), I only got a notification that you replied, not that there was a new comment on my user page. Hm. If I wasn't so confused, I would probably wonder why - that is pretty random for computer programs.

Interestingly, this only showed up as a reply for the comment I left on your page not the one from my ... oh, right the other comment may be from my page but you're replying to your own comment on your own page. Did you get a notification?

EDIT: Look at that. Clicking the link only sends me back to my user page, but the mouseover effect shows the correct comment.
