Ah loneliness,
where have you been?
As I grow older,
your presence swells.
Inviting all of this doubt,
transforming optimism
into...
well...
nothing.
I am a husk,
because loneliness
is semi sweet at best.

If I were to repaint a room
What color would it be?
Maybe a soft blue,
With nice white base boards.
However a nice white,
to make it seem clean.
But,
I happen to fancy red.
It livens up the room.
It will match the stains of thought,
As I repaint this room again.
Alas,
I had picked the wrong shade of red.

I can type about darkness
and I can discuss the artistic value of a broken heart.
Yet it angers me to see others write about these
just because of how cliche that is
Love is always sappy
and epics are just annoyingly tedious
I guess free-verse will have to suffice
As I plainly spell it out for you
Poetry really isn't hard
being a 'deep' person is really effortless.
So what makes the difference between good and deep?
Well,
It's all in how you arrange it.
