As of now, I'm 5,403 words into the next chapter for Reversal of Fortune, and I've been debating back and forth for the last few days on whether to publish it as is, or extend it further.

I'd like someone to give a segment of the next chapter of Reversal of Fortune a quick look-over. I like what I've written, but I'm a little on-the-border with it. Might be a little too extreme.

I forgot (briefly) that I had changed my name to Scarecroft earlier (2spooky4me) and I tried to login as Sandcroft.

It told me "User does not exist."

I flipped out until I remembered the name change.

Wow that was absolutely terrifying.

A story that many of you probably weren't expecting me to spontaneously release. But, I did it anyway.

So what we've got going on over here is:
-AK Yearling finally hangs up her Daring Do garb and decides to retire
-Her last adventure netted her a seemingly innocuous blank book
-She moves to Ponyville and decides to write a new story to stave off boredom
-She writes it in the book
-As she writes in the book, she begins to notice changes in Ponyville that look strangely familiar

I said I was gonna take a hiatus from it, but then I ended up doing another chapter. I heard a song a few days ago and just felt like writing for it, so I did.

Now it's going on hiatus, and I'll be doing some work on Reversal of Fortune. It's a very demanding fic.

So I overestimated how much I want/need to rewrite.

In all actuality, it's not that bad.

Though I would like to change Sandcroft's name to something less self-inserty. I don't know if I can manage that, since he appears in more than just this story...

I'm going to make some edits to the latest chapter to make it a bit more... realistic? Yeah, I'll go with that one.

It's tough getting back in the swing of things after a few months of taking breaks from writing, but I'll manage.

You know what? Fuck this.

Fuck me!

I'm gonna go back and fix all the shit I did wrong earlier in the story! All those cringe-worthy moments that I have now grown to hate are gonna be fixed!

That stupid bullshit I pulled for the beginning 2/3's of the first arc shall be rewritten! No more Lucien acting like a goddamn 12 year old! No more naming characters after me! All those meta references, gone! I'm so done with looking at my past mistakes!
