Inkwell Scroll spends his days organizing books in the Canterlot library and doing research for his future as a famous writer,but only a few weeks before the Summer Sun Celebration he is visited by a royal census taker and when things go unfortunately wrong it is up to Inkwell to step up and leave the city he has lived in since birth. On his job he will travel to new places completely foreign to him, see new sites he has only read about, and maybe make the thing he has never had in life; friends.

Luna has destroyed the world and now she must live with her actions in the darkness of Equestria. She will go through a battle in her own mind to find solace in the purgatory that Equestria has become. She will search for hope in darkness and learn that hate and pain are only the beginning of the dark road that leads to chaos. Along the way she will face old foes and friends as she searches for peace and a way to reverse her actions and restore all to the former way.
