I love shipfics now. But the more I read, I begin to notice a disturbing pattern (at least, disturbing for me).

Why do these ponies like each other? There are usually valid reasons in these stories, but they're so overshadowed by rather overplayed physical attraction. You boil this relationship down and you get... "She's pretty" as the main thrust.

It arrives. This will probably be the shortest chapter, actually. I hope that you guys will give it a shot and read it as I continue on with Poets and Co. into the wild southern jungles and into the deep and dark caverns of the Sepulcher.

So my mom has this book, a curriculum for teens specifically dealing with issues from drugs to anxiety. She wrote it for her support group at church, Metamorphosis, after discovering that Lifeway basically had nothing that would fit the bill. Some self-publishing and editing later, and we're mailing stuff out to Youth Ministers in Mississippi.
