Blame Steel Resolve for this blog post. I told him about the previous night and he said it would make a great blog post.
So yeah, Gravity is coming along slow, but I'm finally at a place where I think I know what to write. I planned on hitting 5k words by the end of today, but due to certain real-life distractions, I'm only at 2.5k.
As for those distractions, well that's an interesting story.
For those of you who only care about story news, I’ll get it out of the way now and you can be on your merry way. I happen to have a bonus day off to decompress and I’ll be spending it writing. Goal is to get 5k words down. Chapter 2 of Gravity will be completed sometime next week, and then it’s a matter of seeing how quickly I can find people to pre-read it. So I know you people want me to be writing more Gravity, but I was a little distracted yesterday between running the game room at Midwestria, and taking a break to go do drunken karaoke with M.A. Larson (wrote Sonic Rainboom, Cutie Mark Chronicles, and Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000) and Amy Keating Rogers (wrote A Friend In Deed, Fall Weather Friends, and The Best Night Ever). I used to always say type only way I'd write clop was if I trolled with Granny Smith. Guess I'm a bad liar...
Not gonna' lie, today was a good day.
I was already in a good mood when I woke up to get the email that my story was posted, and right before I left for work, I already felt my day was 20% cooler, on account of the new Piano Man chapter and getting some feedback and a fav from one of my favorite writers, Steel Resolve.
I know that doesn't make much sense to you, after all, my last story posted a week and a half ago, right? Well that story was actually finished about three weeks back. I was waiting on proofreading and art to submit it. In reality I haven't typed a word since then due to writer's block/vacation/work.
But I finally feel some inspiration coming back. I don't feel ready to continue ITSCS at the moment, but that will come with time. I have too many ideas for it to just let it go.
