Today is the start of my vacation. I'll get story news out of the way first.
Midwest Brony. Really appreciate critiques, especially if you catch grammatical errors. I'm far more used to prose and poetry than narrative, so any advice, hate mail, etc. is appreciated.
Well, that's the end of that. I can finally stop worrying about it.
Legacies of Friendship is officially marked complete. The epilogue is up, and now onto grander things.
ITSCS 3 is through the second run of my editor and will be up as soon as my prereader finishes looking at it.
My new one shot is through my prereader, and only waiting for the cover before I submit for publishing.
I am tired. That's a lot of writing...
I never keep promises
But there's some good stuff coming your way soon. Actually three good things.
ITSCS Chapter 3 is just awaiting notes, but should be up soon. A bit longer, a lot more interaction between characters, and now that we're past introductions, moving into the story arc and plot.
So yeah, in all seriousness, I've not had the best couple of days. No it has nothing to do with anything story related, but I have some story news at the end here.
So, for the sake of context, I should tell you. When I'm not writing stories, I happen to have a full time career as a wildlife rescue specialist. To be honest, the job itself is one of many things that led me to start writing again, but I'll cover that a bit more in my author's notes that are coming with the epilogue to LoF.
Well. That's it. The finale of LoF is up. Yes, it's still 'incomplete'. There is a short epilogue forthcoming, but yeah, it's over.
It's been quite a journey, and while the story has had its flaws, I've really enjoyed it. But it's also a great relief that I can stop worrying about it, and devote effort to more polished work.
Thanks to anyone who's read it, I'll have some more thanks in the epilogue when I have time to flesh out a couple notes.
Love and Tolerate.
So yeah. I know people are antsy for my to finish LoF, and I'm sorry I've had to keep them waiting. It's been two weeks since the penultimate chapter went up and I haven't even started the finale. That changes today. I finally have it set in stone how I want to go, and I've had a lack of inspiration the last week or so.
My heart goes out to Colorado. This is something no person should ever have to live through. I keep wanting to think this is a PR stunt. Some kind of sick joke. But no, this is disaster. Madness. I wish I could say I don't know what these people are going through, but I know how horrible it is to bear witness to these traumatic crimes.
May fellow nerds, countrymen, and heroes be there for you in these dark times.
So, my editors have been hard at work, cleaning up the mess I gave them. Fluttershy's first chapter in ITSCS is going up now, as well as some minor grammatical edits to chapter 1 (gdocs turns my en/em dashes into hyphens for some reason). I hope you all enjoy the way Fluttershy's storytelling differs from Tavi's.
Well, I've finally had the time to go through all the responses to both chapters that went up the other day. Too bad it had to be while I was at work. I was eager to see what the new project was going to do. I know it goes outside the fanon, but time will tell if people are willing to give it a chance.
