Looks like the season 3 finale is going to wreck the story I was planning on writing after Three Wishes. Back to the drawing board.

I was excited to finally get chapter 3 of Three Wishes posted, because while writing it I really started to like Void Nightshade and her coven. For a group that I originally conceived as a convenient plot device/joke on bad OC names, I was happy to find myself wanting to give them more and more "screen" time as I started writing them. Their role in the chapter as posted is vastly expanded over what I had for them in my notes.

So I planned to have a new chapter of Three Wishes ready to be proofread by now, but then I got distracted by two other projects. I'm likely to finish one of those in the next couple of days, and then I'll be getting back to Trixie's big adventure. That is, if I can resist starting on the idea I had watching episode 7 this morning (yeah, I watched the leaked episode--I'm a horrible person).

I'd really like to find someone to proofread my stuff, because I'm kind of driving myself crazy trying to do it myself. I want someone who's going to be thorough, but I'm also pretty big on civility, so nobody who's rude for the sake of being rude. If you're interested, send me a PM.

I didn't intend for it to take me this long to get started posting a new story, but life threw a bunch of exhausting stuff my way, and I was having trouble getting inspired. The arrival of season 3 has done the trick, though, if only because I wanted to get my Trixie story out ahead of the storm that "Magic Duel" is probably going to inspire.

Looked at If a Pony Catch a Pony for the first time since its approval this morning, and found a few big continuity errors. That's what you get for trying to edit an entire fic late at night right after writing the last 3000 words. They're fixed now, but here's a random factoid about the story by way of apology. Originally, I had Lyra and Bon Bon as Holden Caulfield and Jane Gallagher. But I just couldn't imagine Lyra being so cynical, so I switched them with Octavia and Vinyl Scratch.
