Looked at If a Pony Catch a Pony for the first time since its approval this morning, and found a few big continuity errors. That's what you get for trying to edit an entire fic late at night right after writing the last 3000 words. They're fixed now, but here's a random factoid about the story by way of apology. Originally, I had Lyra and Bon Bon as Holden Caulfield and Jane Gallagher. But I just couldn't imagine Lyra being so cynical, so I switched them with Octavia and Vinyl Scratch.
In other news, I've started the planning for my next story, which will star Trixie, Gilda, Braeburn, and no shipping.

Would you say that Pony Catch a Pony is how you normally write? Or were you trying hard to emulate The Catcher In the Rye? It's not that I really dislike that style but I don't especially like it too much either. I'll definitely still give your next story a chance regardless.

I was definitely trying to write like Salinger on that story, but a little of my own style crept in toward the end. The next one is going to be more of a typical adventure fic, though--much closer to show tone (though more serious, since I'm bad at comedy).
