The truth is that the concept I had with Clay and Rainbow Dash wasn't my first idea. Before the roles were supposed to be reversed, Clay was supposed to be an single earth pony stallion that found Rainbow Dash when she was a baby, and raised her as his own. As she grew up Clay begins to wish he could fly so he could connect with her better, and you can probably where the plot goes from there.
