So, I've done what you should and let what you've written sit for a bit. I'm reading and revising all my currently public work and fixing anything I find. Hit the halfway mark despite a large influx of work. I'm enjoying the direction this has been taking, a bit off the path I had set originally but sometimes stories direct themselves and are better for it.

Chapter 3 is finished! The beginning of the Pinkie Pie arc. I wish there was a better way to organize these since you can read the Mane 6 arcs in any order. I'll try to label them as best as I can.

Chapter 4 is coming along nicely. I like where it is going now that I've ironed things out better. Despite the lack of feedback I believe the writing is getting better. We'll just have to see!

So Saturday has come and gone with no update. But the reasoning behind that is good, rather than bad. I'm trying to make sure I keep the characters as natural as possible, which has increased the time it took to write the beginning part. I'm getting used to how Pinkie Pie reacts and talks (and will further alter it based on feedback), however as I learned I went back and altered the chapter a few times. I plan to try for two chapters rather than one, uploaded within one day of each other.
