Surviving covid-19 and five weeks in a coma on a ventilator was easy. Been awake since 4 Aug. Recovery is a real pain. I have tremors that makes it hard to type, my left side is weak, I can't stand without help. Star, if. I talked to you in June, I don't remember it.

Got most of my stuff out of the old place and at the new. Had to do it myself (with the help of a friend) today, and I am learning new meanings to the terms 'pain' and 'immobility' A couple more days of little stuff and things will be done.

Back Roads is proceeding well, as is Equestrian City. Had to miss a conference today, but RL takes precedence. I'll catch up.

Quick update #1: Moving uptown next week (wednesday, to be precise) to a home a friend bought in a nice community. Needless to say, getting ready for said move has been a real pain in the backside. There is a good chance, within the next few days, I will be knocked off line for a while, because my long-term disability is taking its own sweet time in paying me, and I can't pay the cable bill (or rent, or phone, or electric, or food). Okay, a month after my involuntary hospital stay, here's what's going on:

1) my blood sugar levels are rapidly returning to normal range, thanks to insulin, metformin and jardience.
2) feeling just a bit twitchy most of the time, tremors noted in hands.
3) I seem to have gone from nearsighted to farsighted- before, I could not read the streamers on the TV from my desk, now I can. However, reading a book is impossible. Computers, I can manage.

How many of you know about diabetes numbers? They said I was over a thousand when I was kidnapped by my doctor and placed in here. Bloody brutal.

No, I'm not practicing voodoo, or am the victim of it (I think). LOA, in this case, means Leave of Absence. I'm off work until they can find an admin job for me somewhere in the system. My knees just can't tolerate all the walking.

Good news about it is I'll have more time to write. Question now is, what shall I write about? I'm sure I'll be able to think of something.
