In Equestria's far future, ponies have divided amongst groups that follow the tenants of each of the Elements of Harmony. It is a time of peace, but beneath this peaceful exterior, something ancient stirs. Pinkie Pie and her friends are prepping to go on a diplomatic journey to gain an audience with the King of the Gryphons by playing to his sweet-tooth, when they are taken on an unexpected detour by a familiar mare out for revenge.
