Okay, this happens to new folks a lot. Do you see the red dot next to the chapter you created on the story page. Click that. That "Publishes" the story, making it so that people can "see" the story. Now, once you have 1,000 words in that chapter, you can submit the story using the "Submit" tab at the top of the page.
