And the optimism is gone. · 2:32am Oct 4th, 2016

Due to a lot of people taking time off at work on Saturday and Sunday due to additional unpaid time off being given - in other words, being idiots (unless they were sick, in which case, I've no objections) - mandatory overtime has been called. There's a tiny chance that it'll be cancelled, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

I swear, this time of year hates my guts.

Feeling just a tiny bit optimistic. · 1:09am Oct 3rd, 2016

This month's chunks for "Rainbow Rocks: Quiververse Remix" and "The First Evil" are written. Hopefully, Wednesday will see me back at work on "Family", and by the end of next week, I'll start work on the next chapter to "A Shimmering New Year".

Be warned, however, there's no guarantee that I'll have the next chapter for it out before the end of October. I'll do my best, mind, but we all know the saying - "Man plans, God laughs". Still, with any luck, the next chapter will be satisfying.

One of these things is not like the others... · 4:25am Oct 2nd, 2016

I had a crazy idea in mind, ages back, that any Quiververse adaptations of the Equestria Girls films would be the equivalent of season finales - my "Rainbow Rocks" adaptation, for example, is going to close out Season One, while the "Friendship Games" adaptation that I hope to one day do will close out a hypothetical Season Two.

Did I make mistakes? · 2:48am Sep 30th, 2016

I want honest opinions here, folks. Do you think that I made some missteps with my stories?

Legend of Everfree Thoughts (Now that I've Seen It) · 5:18pm Sep 25th, 2016

Yes, I've seen it. I won't spoil it for anyone, but it wasn't a bad film - the prominent new characters got a good level of development, the story was basic but sensible, and I was entertained. That last one, BTW, is the most important criteria in my book.

Not the progress I expected. · 4:40am Sep 25th, 2016

Well, I've gotten a little bit of work done on future projects this weekend. That work, however, involves deciding upon a chapter list for the Quiververse version of "Rainbow Rocks". If anyone can figure out all of the songs that I'm taking chapter names from (and the artists that go with them), congrats. If you can offer suggestions, then please do so.

Prologue: Scenes from an Unknown Restaurant
Chapter One: Better Than Ever
Chapter Two: Devils in Disguise

I'm trying... · 3:05am Sep 22nd, 2016

I'm glad for the positive reception thus far for "A Shimmering New Year". Only one person seems to have had anything negative to say about it...and from what I understand, his comments aren't worth reading, so buck him and pluck him.

Voices. · 12:58am Sep 19th, 2016

Who do you hear when you read my OCs in a story? I'm curious.

Me, I try to go for specific voices in my head, though some are more indistinct than others. Pixie Dust, for example, is definitely voiced by Venus Terzo, and I've tended to lean towards Brad Swaile's voice for Quiver Quill. Sunrunner...well, I had Kelly Sheridan pegged for her, but then she joined the actual cast as Starlight Glimmer and that kinda torpedoed that. So someone Kelly Sheridan-like?

Progress is always good. · 3:45am Sep 18th, 2016

As said, I'm taking a short break from "A Shimmering New Year" in order to make sure that "Family" is ready to go for November. And at this point, I'm pleased to say that I have most of the work for it already done, so I should have it finished by the end of the month and be able to get back to "A Shimmering New Year" with little trouble.

Assuming that nothing goes wrong.
