So, I've been rewatching the old seasons and today I rewatched Feeling Pinkie Keen. Still as funny as I remember it. There was some controversy about its moral, but I don't pay attention to themes because I hate didacticism (I do not miss the letters to the Princess). Anyway, this episode did teach my favorite lavendar Unicorn a lesson in modesty which was most needed. Just because you don't understand something doesn't mean it isn't true. As morals go, that is a good one.

Eventually, the Mane 6 will all become Alicorns. Each one of them is clearly a prodigy in their own magical field or has unusual abilities (like Fluttershy's Stare). It won't happen in their present incarnations and will take lifetimes of learning, but eventually they will all stand by Twilight's side, ruling as philosopher-queens/goddesses over a new age of Equestria.
