I've finished the prologue rewrite, which is currently being reviewed by the development team. It seems to be ready to go.

There are a couple issues worth mentioning. First, it ended up getting kind of long. Second, the ending scene didn't have the kind of tension we felt a prologue needed. So we talked it over and decided to make an interesting change.

It's been a while since I've made a blog post or done anything on fimfiction, so I figured I should say why.

Been spending a whole lot of time developing the overall universe and working on some peripherals, additional stories, etc. DuvetofReason has a fantastic sci-fi story which takes place in the future, within the same universe as Black Feather. We've been working hard to build the outline for that as well as get the first few chapters drafted.

Whew. So, I've finally published Portents of Darkness, the latest chapter of Nightmare Nyx. This has been a long road coming, folks. You have no idea. The first draft of this chapter was written in October, 2014. It was good by those standards, but it's seen so many revisions that I've lost count. Each time, the chapter has gotten a lot better than the previous version.
