Stars. Beautiful, enchanting, awe-inspiring, breathtaking. These are the things that come to mind when most think of heavenly bodies, but there lies an even greater – oftentimes over looked – concept that should be equally applied to them: deadly. Yes, deadly. No one took the meteor showers seriously until several cosmic bodies came crashing down on Equestria, scaring the lands just outside of Ponyville and Canterlot. As more streaking balls of light pass through the world’s atmosphere, it is proven that not even the powerful alicorn sisters have it within their power to avert them. The probability that one will strike somewhere important becomes evident and could perhaps even take out somepony with it. One ill-placed falling star could be the end of Equestria as we know it.

As the situation unfolds and tensions increase with each impact, it is discovered that there could possibly exist one pony who might have what it takes to save Equestria. Except when they find her, not only is she not willing to help, it turns out that she is the very being responsible for causing the danger in the first place. This wild Nightmare sporting a broken horn seems to be Equestria's primary enemy and while the Elements could possibly be used to destroy her and save everyone, a shocking revelation and a twist of events stops the sisters and the current bearers of the Elements of Harmony from doing so. Now they not only won't get rid of her, it turns out they can't. Besides, she could very well be the only one who can reverse her own mistakes. But once stars fall, can they rise again?
