The time of the promised blog post regarding a sequel to Lies and Lyres is now.

I wrote a short treatment for myself that came out sort of okay. It was pure slice of life piece about Lyra taking Spike to the Cantercon toy convention and him surprising her with her own specially crafted Lyra action figure. It was cute, it was sort of funny, and it was boooooring. So it's scrapped.

So the thing with Playing the Scales kind of happened. I honestly didn't expect that story to be so well received, and it's been a pleasure to read that so many people were touched by it. That said, I'm not going to feel like I need to keep comparing everything from this point on to that one minor success (it's not exactly FoE).
