... What is with all the "Blink" fics popping up all of a sudden? The ones that try to put a grimdark spin on teleportation by claiming the original is vaporized or teleported to an alternate dimension and a copy is put in their place? I've seen at least three in the last two days, and I'm both confused and annoyed because the trope of "Teleportation involves killing the original" is one I am not personally fond of.

Wow...uh...I can honestly say I didn't imagine this would happen. I mean, I legitimately feared people were going to hate and down-vote this into oblivion, not actually get featured! And all this from me venting my frustration about how much I didn't like the latest episode.

Ingredients:
- 1 (initially) unrelated story idea involving a tiny interaction between two characters
- 1 bout of insomnia
- 1 rude 5 am wake-up call
- <5 hours sleep

Mix together and let sit for a half-hour train ride. Add a mental image of said two characters snuggling together for added "d'aww".

...What have I gotten myself into?
