2077907 Why, thank you! I'm glad you think so. Free advertising is always lovely, but of course I wouldn't think of imposing you for it. Though, ah, if you would advertise for me...
2077966 Will do! But both writers need to be in the mood for it, so I kinda need to find the right timing for me and for her. If you want something clop-filled, check out the other Wishing Star story, Z-Type. Lotsa clop there, if you haven't already stopped by for it.
2078625 Remember that all of these are from the viewpoints of humans who were not raised around the terminology. Also, remember that the show refers to females as either mares or fillies. Or just girls.
As for Colts and Stallions, I've been fudging it a little for a combination of artistic licence and the fact that these are ponies coming up with this terminology, resulting in different uses for the terms due to memetic shift. Just as the term 'ass' has moved from specifically a type of wild onager, to donkeys in general, to the human posterior, is a good example of memetic shift in action. Just as, in the show and fandom, the term 'Flank' has been changed from the midst of the barrel to the hip or actual buttock of the ponies.
Languages evolve just as much as any living species. (Now I have to bunker down and hope you aren't a rabid creationist)
More clop, please.

For future reference:
Foal: Baby
Filly: Child female
Colt: Child male
Mare: Adult female
Stallion: Adult male
You seem to mix up a few of the terms in your fanfics.
