6. Rivals Meet! Crash Drago!

Applejack and Rainbow Dash were just in a battle and Applejack shouted "Bull Counter" and with that Bull landed an attack on the Pegasus causing it to burst.

With that Twilight raised her hand and said "Farm Bull with a Burst Finish, Applejack wins" and then Rainbow said "oh come on"

Applejack gave Rainbow a weak grin and said "Hey Dash, don't hate me because I'm Awesome" but then Rainbow said "Hey, I'm the Awesome one here" and with that the other one started laughing a little.

After the laughter died down Applejack looked around and said "Hey, where's Amelia?" and with that Sunset pointed to a bench where Amelia sat with her eyes locked on her tablet.

"What is she doing?" asked Rainbow and then Applejack said "Just one way to find out" and with that the seven walked over to Amelia. "Hey, earth to Amelia" Applejack said and then she looked up at them.

"Hey girls, is there anything?" she asked and then Pinkie asked "What are you watching?" With that Amelia said "It's a title match" and they looked at each other in confusion.

"What is it?" Fluttershy asked and with that Amelia said "Here, I'll show you" and put the tablet up for the others to see. It whistled an arena in the style of a colosseum. There were two people standing at the stadium. and above them there was a screen that said the score was 1-1.

"Alright boys and girls. It's time for the third battle in this title match between The Legend of Legends, Valt Aoi and The High Prince, Rashad Goodman" said the announcer and the camera shifted between Valt and Rashad.

Rashad had red hair and eyes, a red gi shirt with a white robe and a yellow spiked pauldron on the left shoulder. When the girls saw Valt, Pinkie said "Hey there he is again" and then Amelia said "Have you seen him before?"

The Main 7 nodded and Sunset said "We saw a match between Valt and some guy named Aiger" and when Amelia heard that she said in shock "Did you see the match between Valt and Aiger?" It nodded and then they turned their attention to the match because it was about to start again.

"Listen Valt, The High Prince and Glory Regnar will defeat you" Rashad said, holding out his balance type Beyblade: Glory Regnar.

but Valt smiled back and said "Oh yeah, we'll see about that" and then the ref said "third battle" and both took their positions.

"Ready, Set" said the ref, raising his hand. "3... 2... 1... Let it, Rip!" shouted both two and both and both their Beys flew towards the stadium. Regnar had managed to make his way to the center and circled as Valtryek went for an attack.

"Go Valtryek, Rush Launch" Valt shouted as Valtryek attacked at high speed. "It won't work," Rashad said, folding his hands. "Glory Dagger" he called, bringing his pauldron forward. With that one of Regnar's blades shone and hit Valtryek, sending it flying.

"Oh my, Valtryek just got knocked out by a powerful counterattack from Glory Regnar" the announcer said and the crowd cheered. "Wow, that was impressive" Twilight said.

But then the blades on Glory Regnar started to rise. "And now check that. Glory Regnar is setting up its ultimate defense" said the announcer and then Rashad said "Now, on with Glory Crown" and then the blades rose up so they were standing straight up and a golden circle was over it.

"There we have it, Regnar's circle of light is shining bright" the announcer said and Rashad smirked. But when the Valtryek had regained its balance, it went towards the rail and when its tip was at it, the Valtryek sped up and gained new speed.

"But see there. Valtryek is moving so fast. It's like it's breaking the sound barrier" the announcer said and with that Valt called out "NOW, Valtryek" resonating with his Bey and then the Valtryek avatar appeared.

At that moment Rashad reasoned with his bey and shouted "Regnar" and then Regnar's avatar appeared. It showed a humanoid creature with white armor and shiny details. Its arms had red rings and golden claws. And finally, it had a large red crystal above it and a gold and red ring behind it.

With that, both Beys circled and Valtryek dived straight for Regnar. “Ultimate Flash V” Valt shouted and charged straight forward with the energy shuttling forward. With that, Valtryek's blade began to glow red. “Show them our might, Glory Breaker" Rashad shouted and Regnar began to glow Golden and both Beys slammed into each other.

The collision created a mass of sparks, but after a while it was Regnar who was thrown into the air and burst. "It's Ultimate Valkyrie with a Burst Finish, with a score of 3-1 Valt Aoi is the winner" shouted the ref and the crowd cheered.

"And there you have it folks, Valt Aoi has successfully defended his title once again" shouted the announcer and Valt waved to the crowd. With that Sunset said "Wow, that was a match" and the other agreed as Amelia turned off her tablet.

"That Valt is really strong, I can give him that" Applejack said but then Rainbow said "phew, I can probably win against him"

"You shouldn't underestimate Valt Aoi, has been a blading legend for a long time" Amelia said but then Rainbow said "Who cares how can I face him?"

With that Amelia sighed and said "well, first you have to get to the top ranking. only after that you get the chance to face the champion" With that Rainbow sighed and said "Come on, it's so much work"

When Rainbow said that, Sunset glared at her bey. When it sparkled a little, she nodded and said "Okay, I'll get into the top ranking" When the other heard what she said, they looked at Sunset.

"Are you sure Sunset?" Twilight asked but Sunset said "I'm sure Twi, And Phoenix wants in on all the action too" and held up her Bey.

"Alright then I'll do it too" Rainbow said and then Applejack said "were you not complaining just now that it was so much work" but then Rainbow replied "That was only then, not now" and to that the other laughed until a voice interrupted them.

"Amelia" the voice called and with that everyone turned to where the voice was coming from. As they looked, they saw a guy their age with dark brown hair, blue eyes, a crimson red jacket and black t-shirt with a red dragon on it.

When Amelia saw who it was she smiled and said "Robin" in disbelief. With that she rushed over to Robin and he caught her in a hug. "It's been so long. I've missed you" Amelia said.

"I've missed you too" Robin said and after a while they broke the hug. "Oh, you have to meet my new friends" Amelia said and the two of them walked up to the main 7. "Girls, you have to meet him here" she said and stood in front of the Rainbooms.

"Geez, why are you so excited?" asked Rainbow and then Amelia replied "This is Robin, My younger brother" and when they heard that the girls said "Brother" at the same time.

"You didn't say anything about having a brother" Applejack said and Amelia replied "Well none of you asked about my family. Besides Robin has been on a training journey for a long time"

"But now I'm back" Robin said and then Amelia said "Oh Robin. Let me introduce Sunset, Twilight, Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy"

"Nice to meet you" Robin said, turning to Amelia and said "Well I guess it's time to fulfill the promise" Amelia turned to Robin and asked "What promise?"

"Have you forgotten? The promise we made before I left" Robin said and then Amelia started to think back to that day.

(Flashback)

"Are you leaving?" Amelia asked as she saw Robin pack. "Yes, I've decided to go to get stronger" he said and put the backpack on his back.

"Are you sure?" Amelia asked and Robin nodded and said "Don't worry I'll be fine" With that Amelia looked down and said "oh ok"

But then she looked straight at Robin and said "But as soon as you're done I'll be your first opponent" With that Robin smiled and hugged Amelia and said "That's a promise"

(End of Flashback)

"Oh, now I remember" Amelia said, glaring at Robin. "So, shall we begin" he said walking towards the stadium close. "You can go for it" Amelia said, taking her position.

With both of them on opposite sides of the stage, Amelia took out her bey and said "This is your first time meeting it, so this is Feather Griffin"

Robin looked at the Bey and said "Interesting" and then he looked at it closely. "Feather Griffin, Stamina type, Lots of weight on the outside" Robin thought and smiled.

"Alright then" he said and took out his Bey. "This is Crash Drago" he said and Amelia looked at the Bey with interest. "An attack type. Seems strong" she said and Robin replied "You have no idea"

"Okay, I can be the referee" said Twilight and stood by the stadium. "Works for me" Robin said and Amelia said "Okay Thanks Twi"

"Now, First Battle" Twilight said, holding out her hand. Both got ready with Robin placing his Launcher vertically and placing his Bey. "Ready, Set" Twilight said, raising her hand. "3..." He twists his Bey and locks it in place. "2..." He grabbed hold of the ripcord. “1…” He aimed his Launcher diagonally towards the stadium. "Let it, Rip!" both shouted and Robin pulled the ripcord and thrust his Launcher forward and turned it so it was horizontal.

Both Beys flew into the stadium with Griffin heading towards the center and Drago circling the outside of the stadium. "Show them what you got, Feather Zone" Amelia shouted and when Griffin was in the center and it was surrounded by the gray energy.

With that, Drago dove in for an attack and made a quick run and attacked again and again. "NOW, GO Crash Launch" Robin shouted and Drago attacked several more times.

"Crash, Crash, Crash, Crash, Crash." Robin shouted punching the air with each attack and Griffin was knocked back a little with each attack. "Wow, watch him go" Rainbow said as she saw how Drago's attacks affected Griffin.

After a while Drago hit Griffin so it flew out of stage and landed in front of Amelia. "Crash Drago with a Ring Out Finish, Robin leads by a score of 1-0" Twilight said and Robin picked up his Bey saying "Well done Drago"

"Not bad Bro" Amelia said picking up her Bey. "But you won't be as lucky the next round," she said confidently. "We'll see" Robin said and then Twilight said "Second Battle" and they both got ready.

"Ready, Set" Twilight said, raising her hand. "3... 2... 1... Let it, Rip!" both shouted and Griffin again got to the center first. "One more time, Crash Launch" Robin shouted and Drago went in for an attack.

"Griffin" Amelia shouted and her Bey was surrounded by the same energy and its avatar appeared. "Time for full storm, Feather Storm" she called and Griffin created its cyclone and Drago attacked with it didn't get close enough.

"Wow, Griffin blocks all attacks from Drago" Rarity said and it went on for a while but after a while Drago slowed down so it stopped. "Feather Griffin with a Survivor Finish, It's tied by a score of 1-1" Twilight said.

"Grr, She really got stronger than before" thought Robin picking up his Bey. When Amelia picked up her Bey she said "In the next match I'll win with a Burst"

Robin looked at Amelia and then at his Bey. "Drago" he said and then his bey started to glow. When it cleared he was in a crimson void and in front of him was Drago's avatar.

"Robin, what will your strategy be?" Drago asked and then Robin looked directly into Drago's eyes. "We strike first. We don't let them get the chance to get to the center. Then we burst them," Robin said confidently. Drago looked at him and said "a wise choice. let's do it"

With that, Robin snapped back to reality and smiled. "Alright, this is ours" he said and then twilight said "Third Battle" and they both got ready. "Ready, Set" Twilight said, raising her hand. "3... 2... 1... Let it, Rip!" both shouted and their Beys were off.

"Go Griffin, take the center" Amelia called and Griffin was heading there but then Robin called "Go Drago, Crash Launch" and Drago went in and attacked just as Griffin reached the center.

"What" Amelia said and every time Griffin got close to the center Drago attacked again and again. "Wow what an attack" Pinkie said and Drago continued to attack.

"Not bad, but it will take more than that" Amelia said and began to resonate with her Bey. "Griffin" she called and Griffin was surrounded by the same energy and its avatar appeared.

"Now show them a crazy wind, Feather Storm" she shouted and Griffin created its cyclone and managed to deflect Drago and took the center. "Ha take that," she said in triumph.

But then Robin was supposed to be surrounded by a crimson red energy and then he shouted "NOW, Drago" and then his Bey was also surrounded by the same energy and its avatar appeared.

With that Drago began to climb the slope and accelerated as it dove straight towards Griffin. "Crash Breaker" he shouted and swooped down with both hands and Drago's four blades started to glow and then it slammed into Griffin from above and began to push down.

When it did, Griffin's cyclones began to disappear and after a while, Griffin burst. Amelia gasped as Twilight said "Crash Drago with a Burst Finish, Robin Kings wins by a score of 3-1"

"Oh Yeah" Robin said in happiness picking up his Bey. "Thank you Drago" he said walking over to Amelia. "Are you ok sis" he asked and Amelia said "I'm fine" and sighed.

"Wow, you've really gotten stronger," she said, holding out her hand. "Same goes for you" Robin said shaking Amelia's hand. After a while Sunset said "Hey Robin, How about a match against me"

Robin turned to Sunset and said "Sure sounds fun" and then they both changed their positions. "Be careful bro. Sunset is really strong" Amelia said and then Robin said "Thanks for the warning but I can handle it"

"You shouldn't be so cocky" sunset said holding up her Bey. "Flare Phoenix is not to be underestimated" she said and then Robin thought of something. "Flare Phoenix huh" he thought.

(Flashback)

It was the day after Robin had created his Bey. He had packed all his things and was about to leave. But before he did that, he asked his sensei something.

"Sensei, During my meditation where I met Drago. Then I saw something else. A Phoenix and Drago flew straight towards it. Dove know what that means?" he asked.

"It is possible that you will soon meet someone who is like a Phoenix. Someone who does not give up. Remember what I said about becoming strong on your own?" Robin's sensei said.

"That there's a limit to what you can learn on your own. You need a rival to challenge yourself with" Robin said then his Sensei nodded and said "If that's what you saw you're going to meet someone with the same drive as you"

At that Robin smiled and bowed and said "Thank you sensei" and then he left.

(End of Flashback)

"Alright. Sunset vs. Robin. First battle" Twilight said and both got ready. "Hmm, Crash Drago is an attack type" Sunset thought and with that she unlocked the little blades. "Then I'll go on the defense" she thought and got ready.

"Ready, Set" Twilight said, raising her hand. "3... 2... 1... Let it, Rip!" both shouted and both of their Beys flew into the stadium with Phoenix making it to the center first.

"Now, Flare Guard" Sunset called and Phoenix was surrounded by fire. "Get them, Crash Launch" Robin shouted and Drago attacked again and again but Phoenix blocked it.

"hm, not bad. But let's see how you handle this" Robin said and then Drago climbed up the slope divided towards Phoenix. "Crash Breaker" Robin shouted and Drago attacked Phoenix from above again.

After a while, the Phoenix flew towards the wall as its blade retracted. "Now, Phoenix" Sunset called and the Phoenix glowed with the same scarlet energy and its avatar appeared.

"NOW, Flare Counter" Sunset called, snapping her fingers. And with that, Phoenix dove right at Drago and hit it so hard it flew out of the stadium and landed a good distance away.

"Flare Phoenix with a Ring Out Finish, Sunset leads by a score of 1-0" Twilight said and the Main 7 cheered for Sunset's win. Robin walked over to his Bey and picked it up. He turned to Sunset and thought "Okay, enough games. Next is mine"

When both were ready Twilight said "Second Battle" and both got ready. "Ready, Set" Twilight said, raising her hand. "3... 2... 1... Let it, Rip!" both shouted and their Beys moved like in the previous match.

"Go, Flare Guard" Sunset shouted and her Bey was surrounded by fire. "Drago, Crash Launch" Robin shouted and Drago attacked with the affected Phoenix.

"What is he doing. If he just attacks like that the same thing will happen" Rainbow said and then Amelia thought "So what's your plan Robin"

"No matter what you do it's not working" Sunset said but then Robin smiled and said "Let's see about that" With that Robin started giving off the same crimson energy as before and called out "Drago" and then his Bey was surrounded of the same energy and its avatar appeared.

With that, Drago's blade began to glow and then it dived towards the Phoenix. "So you'll just be inviting your defeat" Sunset said smiling. "The only defeat I invite is yours" Robin said and with that Drago sped right past Phoenix.

Sunset looked in confusion and then saw Drago Climb up the slope on the other side and lean forward and then dive straight for Phoenix. "Now, Crash Upper" Robin shouted and did an Uppercut. With that Drago landed an attack from below sending Phoenix up and out of the stadium.

"Crash Drago with a Ring Out Finish, It's tied by a score of 1-1" Twilight said and the Main 7 were stunned at what happened while Amelia cheered for Robin.

"Hm, looks like I caught up with you" Robin said with a grin on his face. Sunset grunted thinking "I didn't expect an attack like that" and with that she picked up her Bey and locked the small blades.

"Okay, now you're going to meet Phoenix in attack mode" she said, holding out her Bey. The others were surprised that Sunset told her strategy. "Why would you say that?" Rainbow asked but Sunset didn't answer her.

"She seems confident. Okay, this is going to be fun" Robin thought and turned to Twilight. "Twilight. please start the next battle" he said and then Twilight replied "Oh ok. Third battle" and they both got ready.

"Ready, Set" Twilight said, raising her hand. "3... 2... 1... Let it, Rip!" both shouted and their Beys went right in for an attack. "Now Phoenix, Flare Launch" Sunset shouted as Robin shouted "Crash Launch" and with that both Beys attacked again and again and it seemed to be even.

"Now, Phoenix" Sunset called, resonating with her Bey so its avatar appeared. At the same time Robin shouted "Raa, Drago" and resonated with his Bey so its avatar appeared. With that, both Beys dove right into each other.

"Flare Whip" Sunset called out and swept her hands sideways and one of the Phoenix was ignited by its scarlet fire. "Crash Breaker" Robin called out and swept down with his hands and Drago's four blades glowed crimson.

When the two collided, it crackled and sparkled so much that the other had to shield his eyes. After a while of the same collection, both Beys burst and both Sunset and Robin gasped.

Twilight looked at the two beys and then said "Simultaneous Burst Finish, It's a draw" Robin picked up Drago and said "One more time" and then Sunset said "Sure"

After a while they collided again but it was a draw again. They kept going several times but they kept getting the same result. "maybe you two should take a break" Twilight said but then Robin said "No, I can keep going" and got ready. "Same here" Sunset said getting herself ready.

Twilight sighed and said "Okay, Fourteenth Battle" Twilight said and they both got ready. "You know you can give up now and stop this?" Robin said but then Sunset said "Unlucky for you. I'm not giving up yet"

"Ready, Set" Twilight said, raising her hand. "3... 2... 1... Let it, Rip!" both shouted and continued the battle. And during the battle, Robin thought about what his Sensei had said. "If that's what you saw you're going to meet someone with the same drive as you" he thought and then Robin came up with something.

Sunset had a Phoenix Bey and she has the same drive to never give up. Sunset was a rival he could challenge himself with. When Robin realized that, he smiled even more.

This progressed to a point where when it tried to launch the Beys, they waddled and fell out of the stadium. With that, both fell to the ground due to exhaustion.

Sunset and Robin were breathing heavily and were exhausted. "Okay, I admit. You are really strong Sunset" Robin said and then Sunset said "I can say the same about you"

They both stood up and then Amelia said "You two were Awesome" and the other agreed. "Thanks" Robin said and then Applejack said "Maybe we'll take a minute to catch our breath" and the other agreed.

With that everyone sat on the benches and as they did Twilight asked "Robin, Would it be okay if I took a look at your Bey?" and then he looked at Twilight and said "Sure, Watch till you crack" and gave Twilight his Bey.

Twilight looked at Drago with great interest. "Wow, this Bey is incredible. Did you make it all by yourself?" Twilight asked and then Robin replied "Yep, And it also has a very unusual material in it"

This made the Main 7 and Amelia more interested and Sunset asked "And what is that?" Robin smiled and said "a dragon scale" and that caused the others to be silent for a moment and then they said in unison "A DRAGON SCALE"

Robin nodded and said "According to my Sensei the scale came from a dragon a long time ago. He gave it to me because I had proven I could handle its power" and then the girls said "Wow"

"So, how did you do your Beys?" asked Robin the main 7 and then Sunset replied "We got help from a blader who had filled in at a studio in town"

"Really, which Blader?" asked Robin and then Twilight replied "a blader named Shu Kurenai" At that moment Robin and Amelia's eyes widened and they screamed out "SHU KURENAI?!"

The siblings' reaction got everyone's attention and so Rarity asked "Why is Shu Kurenai so special?" and then Robin answered "Spe... Special? Shu Kurenai is one of the Blading legends from our world. Known for being the owner of the Raging Bulls and childhood rival of the world champion Valt Aoi"

"Robin's right. Meeting a legend is a big deal. Why didn't you tell me?" Amelia said and then Applejack replied "You didn't ask how we made our Beys. Exactly like we didn't ask if you had a brother" and smirked. "Touche AJ" Amelia said, smiling back.

After that Sunset said "Wow, I can't believe we met a legend without knowing" and then Robin said "I really wish I was there" and Amelia agreed.

After a while Rainbow stood up and said "Hey Robin. How about a match against me?" and Robin stood up and said "Okay. I'm on" and then they both went to the stadium.

It had been a long day with many battles and after a while Applejack had invited everyone to dinner at her place. Everyone had accepted and gone there and had just finished dinner.

"Wow, That was probably the best meal I've had in ages." Robin said and Amelia had agreed. "This was a real Apple family meal," Applejack said.

"Yes, thanks for the meal. But I should probably go back to the hotel" Robin said but then Amelia took his hand. "Why don't you stay. We were going to have a sleepover here" she said and then Sunset said "Why not. It sounds like fun"

"I appreciate that. But where would I even sleep?" asked Robin and then Big Mac said "You can sleep in my room" Everyone turned to Big Mac in surprise. It was unusual for him to speak so it was a surprise.

"I don't want to intrude. Are you sure it's okay?" asked Robin and then Big Mac responded with an "eeyup" Then Pinkie walked over and said "Please" and gave Robin her puppy eyes.

With that Robin smiled and said "Okay, I guess I'll stay here tonight" and then Pinkie cheered and hugged Robin tightly.

Sunset had just woken up. When she looked at the clock, it was 5:00 am in the morning. The other was still asleep except for Applejack. She was the one working in the morning so it was no surprise.

Sunset noticed that her throat was very dry so she got up and headed towards the kitchen. But when she got there, Amelia and Applejack were already there.

"What are you guys doing up there?" she asked and then Amelia replied "I needed water" and Applejack said "Chores" and then Applejack asked "You then?"

"Thirsty" Sunset said, walking over to the faucet and getting a glass of water. But when she drank the water, she heard something.

"Did you hear that?" she asked and then Amelia replied "I did" and then Applejack replied "Same" Sunset strained her ears and brightened but then she heard a voice say "989...990...991"

"It seems to be coming from outside" Applejack said and the three went outside to see Robin on one side of the barn. He had his Launcher in front but his Bey was not there.

"996" he said and pulled the ripcord. "997" he said and did it again. The three walked towards her as he said "998" and pulled again. "999" he said and did it again. He breathed heavily and then said "Okay, the last one now."

He gathered all his strength and said "Let it, Rip!" and pulled the ripcord once more. "Not bad" Sunset said and Robin turned to see the three girls.

"Hey, what are you guys doing up so early?" he asked and then Applejack said "I live here so I have to do chores. Why are you awake?"

"I woke up and couldn't get back to sleep. So I decided to do some exercise" Robin said and then Amelia said "Strange, You used to like sleeping in"

Then Robin replied "What can I say, The training I endured made me stronger" and then Sunset said "Hey, now that we're awake maybe we can finish the battle from yesterday"

With that Robin smiled and said "Sure" but then Amelia pointed out "Um, we're wearing our pajamas" and then Sunset said "Okay, a quick change, then battle"

"Okay, we'll hurry then," Robin said and they both rushed in to change. When it was finished, they rushed past Amelia and Applejack to the nearest Bey stadium.

"Wait you two" Amelia called but it was already gone. "They hadn't even had breakfast yet" she said and then Applejack said "They'll be back when they need to eat" and left to do her chores.

I have things to say:

1) It seems that Sunset already has one goal in this story: climb to the top ranking and challenge Valt for the title of champion.

2) The rivalry between Sunset and Robin reminds me a lot of that between Valt and Aiger.
