[Part 3] Twilight Sparkle And Chancellor Neighsay

As the days passed, Chancellor Neighsay found it increasingly difficult to hide his true feelings for Twilight Sparkle. He would often catch himself staring at her for a little too long, and would quickly look away when she noticed.

One day, while they were both studying in the library, Twilight Sparkle noticed the Chancellor acting strangely. She asked him if everything was alright, to which he replied with a forced smile and a nod.

Twilight Sparkle wasn't convinced, but she decided not to push the matter. As they continued studying, she couldn't help but feel a strange sense of discomfort. She had always respected the Chancellor as a mentor and a friend, but something about his behavior was making her uneasy.

That night, Twilight Sparkle had trouble sleeping. She kept thinking about the Chancellor's strange behavior and wondered if there was something he wasn't telling her. She decided to confront him the next day.

The following morning, Twilight Sparkle found Chancellor Neighsay in his office. She hesitated for a moment, but then gathered the courage to speak up.

"Chancellor," she said, "I couldn't help but notice that you've been acting strangely lately. Is there something on your mind?"

Chancellor Neighsay's heart raced as he tried to come up with an excuse. He couldn't let Twilight Sparkle know how he truly felt, but he also didn't want to lie to her.

"Twilight," he said, "there's nothing to worry about. I've just been preoccupied with some work."

But Twilight Sparkle wasn't convinced. She could sense that the Chancellor was hiding something from her.

"Chancellor," she said, "I'm your friend. You can tell me anything."

Chancellor Neighsay took a deep breath and looked Twilight Sparkle in the eye. For a moment, he hesitated, but then he spoke.

"Twilight," he said, "the truth is, I've been struggling with something for a while now. I've developed feelings for you, and I'm scared to tell you because I don't want to ruin our friendship or make things awkward between us."

Twilight Sparkle was taken aback. She had never expected the Chancellor to feel this way about her.

"Chancellor," she said, "I don't know what to say. I value our friendship too, but I don't feel the same way about you."

Chancellor Neighsay felt his heart sink. He had known this was a possibility, but it still hurt to hear it.

"I understand," he said, "I don't want to make things awkward between us. I'll try to keep my feelings to myself."

Twilight Sparkle nodded, and the two of them sat in silence for a while. After a few moments, Chancellor Neighsay stood up.

"I should get back to work," he said, "Thank you for listening, Twilight."

"Of course," she said, "If you ever need to talk, I'm here for you."

Chancellor Neighsay nodded and left the room. As he walked down the hallway, he couldn't help but feel a sense of sadness. He knew that his feelings for Twilight Sparkle wouldn't just go away, but he also knew that he had to keep them hidden.
