The fight

“Fine,” I sighed. “Deal.”

I flew into the air. Flash pulled out the gun from his pocket.
“NO!” Shouted Twilight.

As I flew closer to my ex, he pulled the trigger. I yelled out in pain, as the bullet went straight into my abdomen as I plummeted to the roof of the school.

Flash circled me. “Not so tough, are you? I’ll take the child.”
He snatched the baby out of Twilight’s arms. The baby wailed.

I grunted in pain. Flash stabbed me in my abdomen. I grunted again.
Twilight looked at me. I stood up, clutching my wound with one claw. Flash and I fought. He was at the edge of the roof. He stumbled backwards, falling to his death along with the baby. I collapsed.

Twilight dragged me to safety. I grunted again in pain. She gently moved my hand aside.
“It’s deep,” she said.

She smiled. “You’ll be okay,”she said.
I smiled softly. “Twi. Did I tell you... I... love... you?”
She grinned. “I can’t lose you,” she said.
I grunted again. “I can’t... I think I’m gonna go... Twi?”
“Yes?”
“Stay...” I coughed. “With... me.”
I closed my eyes. My wings were folded in. My heart stopped.
