I'm a little confused by the synopsis. It, to me at least, makes it sound like Lazzari is just some random crystal pony, unique name aside. Why would Twilight be interested in her?

I am very much already intrigued by the school Twilight has opened, which I will dub for the meantime as the School of Reinvigoration. This is a fascinating idea to me, a school organized with the bettering of social welfare being its primary directive and focus. I believe that such an establishment may be considered radical to some, especially to those coming from a life of lower living standards. Canterlot, for instance, most likely is divided into sectors based on wealth and social status. Based on Lazzari's comment that she was considered a low-class citizen, I assume that she and her family lived in such a sector.
I greatly enjoy how you gave us background information on the characters we have met so far, especially as much of the information is hinted at through the paperwork Lazzari sees her father working on and the conversations she has or the reflections she makes. I am anticipating the dynamic we may see between the triad–Lazzari, Hemlock Blossom, and Brooksdale Feather.
I believe that, altogether, this is a remarkable opening to a compelling story. I can't wait for the next chapter!
