8 The Night at Pinkies

It was late evening when Twilight Sparkle had arrived at the place where Pinkie Pie and her sister Maud has lived. Even though Twilight would be happier if she could just meet up with her own Rainbow Dash and the mini-commando squad, and then they would just figure out something out for the night this alternative arrangement did work too.

Twilight was sure that Rainbow Dash is going to be okay, in fact, the former personally insured her that it's going to be just fine!

There was another thing that is worth mentioning, turns out that the radio units that they were using were completely different from the human versions, and, therefore, they were completely untraceable from the local authorities. It was really important for Twilight for it to stay it that way.

Right now she was right in front of the door, Pinkie Pie gestured to her to go ahead and push the doorbell because apparently, she forgot her own keys.Twilight shrugged off, apparently, that happens sometimes. She was about to do it when Pinkie Pie suddenly stopped her from doing it and then said that she remembered she had the backup keys after all. Being said those keys were, in fact, was under the doormat.

Twilight Sparkle expressed her concern at this blatant security issue, but then remembered that nopony in her own dimension don't even bother locking it. She became somewhat self-aware that in her own private castle, RIP the wonderful old timely tree library. The point was Spike and Twilight, as well as all other girls, were the only ones who lived there. Castle guards bah, who needs them, the door wasn't even locked, some days.

"What is it Twilight?"

"It's not important! I guess I always wondered how carefree are people sometimes."

"Aha, well, welcome to my home I guess! Oh hi, Maud! How is your day had been!"

There in the darkness, Maud had been standing, "It's been okay I guess! Who is your new friend?" She droned out with the voice that just sounds like I am really bored! voice.

"Oh that's just our new temporarily roommate, I promise this time It's going to be just only for a few days!"

"Well, okay then I guess I am just going to pretend like I care and stuff." She droned a reply and went away into her room.

"Is she always like that?" Twilight asked curiously.

"Yep, that's just Maud! Don't worry about it that just the way she is! Eventually, she is going to work up to you, or not!" Pinkie Pie replied.

"Are you sure she doesn't mind me being here I just don't want to intrude and I.."

Pinkie Pie decided to do a different tactic today because whatever she wants to do clearly wasn't working.

"Twilight you are too over the edge, I know what it looks like because I have seen it before and I don't really like it. Do you understand?"

"So, what the plan then?" Twilight slowly accepted her fate, she wondered what Rainbow Dash has been doing?

Pinkie Pie snapped her fingers, "Cake or Pie quickly choose your answer?"

"Pinkie Pie you can't be serious?"

"Oh yes, I am" Pinkie Pie smiled at Twilight and then continued talking, "what's your favorite movie? There is a good chance that both yours and my dimensions have similar entertainment." Pinkie Pie grinned, "We are going to have so much fun and you can't refuse any of it."

...We are going to have so much fun and you can't refuse any of it. Rainbow Dash switched off her end of the magic radio receiver and sighted, It would seem that Twilight got in way over her head. Still, there is nothing she could do to help her.

In her hands, Rainbow Dash had a wallet with money as well as a driver license issued to Rainbow Dash age sixteen, as well as student ID for Canterlot High School. Rainbow Dash was genuinely impressed at how helpful the mirror was. Before she departed to this dimension she made sure she took a bag of about one hundred bits. Should be more than enough for about three days, right?

Thanks to the mirrors generosity she now has about one thousand and seven hundred dollars. She then looked at the sample of her elite currency, the brand name changed to some localized brand. Perfect, she thought! She then grinned at the opportunity that she just couldn't resist.

Unfortunately, the only thing that stopped her was the fact that her double was underage, maybe in several years, maybe not. Rainbow Dash suppressed her greed and then flipped her radio receiver back online, this time calling Scootaloo.

"Care to explain where you are?"

"Would you actually believe me if I said I was with the CMC."

"Actually I would, I didn't train so your body double could just outsmart you in the spy game, so how did you do it?"

"Let's just say they are communicating without speaking to each other. It was actually very easy to play along. Even if I had to make sure that me and my double never met each other, and by that I mean I didn't knock her out or anything"

"Good! I don't want to drag this out this conversation so..."

"I already can tell that you are doing a ton of paperwork, so I guess I wouldn't want to slow you down!"

"I'll see you tomorrow then, don't misbehave!" Rainbow Dash switched off her receiver.

"Oh well! I guess stuff happens!"Rainbow Dash thought that it would be the best to move on. She then switched back to Twilight's channel and then started to listen if anything interesting happening over there. So far it looks like that Pinkie Pie had been planning to keep Twilight awake for the rest of the night.

Morning came and for the first time, Twilight felt refreshed, even if it wasn't her Pinkie Pie she still felt gratitude for providing such a wonderful time to just spend time away from the boring bureaucracy work. Right now she remembered that Rainbow Dash is doing half of the workload that was meant for her, and well she thought that when they go back maybe both of them could spend some time together.

As always, Rainbow Dash reported on the schedule to deliver the morning report as, well as give Twilight her usual pep talk, "Are you ready to show them what you've got?"

"Yes, Dash I am ready to kick their metaphorical asses. Anyway else you would wish to say to me?"

"Nope, have a nice day, oh and wipe that smirk off her face."

"Will do, Dash! Will do! That's the plan anyway!"

Nothing really happened during this chapter except we spend a little bit of time with Maud. Everyone knows that the mirror converts pony into humans, and then conveniently gives them clothes to be dressed in. My theory as follows what if the mirror provided some other services, for example, if the pony did have bits with them, the mirror would then conveniently exchanges bits into local currency. If the pony has some sort of ID with her, then this ID would be converted as well.
